Easter Praise! A truly magical Easter performance performed by the very talented children of Year 3 and 4. They reminded us of the events that led to Jesus’ death.

At that moment, the children understood how an ordinary meal became something sacred. Jesus asked his disciples to remember him whenever they shared bread and wine, a sign of love, sacrifice and togetherness that would be carried on for generations.

During Holy Week, the Year Four children reflected upon and re-enacted the miracle that Jesus performed at the Last Supper. They thought about how Jesus took bread and wine, blessed them and shared them with his disciples, saying that they were his body and his blood.

Year 3 encouraged us to think about how we can show kindness and welcome to others this week, just as the people welcomed Jesus.

🌿 Year 3 Lead Us Into Holy Week 🌿 They retold Palm Sunday when Jesus entered Jerusalem, helping us imagine the excitement of the crowds waving palm branches and shouting “Hosanna!”

Their confident reading, acting and reflections reminded us why Palm Sunday is such an important beginning to the Easter story — a moment of welcome, hope, and recognising Jesus as our King.

The season of Lent begins today, on Ash Wednesday. Lent is a special time when we remember the needs of others and grow closer to God our Father, just as Jesus did.

Choir went to St. Peter’s Helpers’ Christmas party to provide some music for entertainment. This was the first of two events for Choir this week and they did themselves proud!

The first Sunday of Advent is here. As we light the first candle of hope, we remember that God is drawing near — quietly but powerfully. What's one way you can make room for Jesus in your life this Advent?

We had an inspiring day with Greg. School was filled with energy as we welcomed Greg from @mark10mission he spent the day leading us in uplifting prayer, joyful worship, and inspiring reflections. It was a fantastic day filled with faith, fun, and plenty of smiles. Thank you

They learnt the Maya style of weaving and so much more including exploring the temples with VR headsets! We’ve come away with so much new knowledge and had so much fun doing it! The children were fantastic with Kat, our historian, and represented St Simon's amazingly!

Today's Maya workshop in Year 6 was simply brilliant! We learnt how to calculate using the Maya number system, wrote using traditional Maya ink and even dressed up in traditional clothing. We also played ancient Maya board games, explored the fascinating Maya calendar.

Everyone came away with a better understanding of how to make healthier choices and why it’s so important to look after our bodies. A big thank you to our NHS workshop leaders for making it engaging, honest and empowering! 💪

Year 6 took part in a Vape & Sugar Workshop they took part in a session all about the hidden dangers of vaping and excessive sugar consumption. How they can affect health in ways - from the impact on our lungs to the sneaky ways sugar hides in everyday foods.

We were thrilled to welcome the Jubilee Icon of The Visitation, blessed by Bishop Mark, into our school. Mrs Core and 3 children led our Celebration of the Word. Our children and staff have taken time to reflect and respond in a variety of ways, during our Pilgrimage of Hope.
