Today’s announcement is the culmination of nearly two years of collaboration between Vianode, @investontario, and our government. After a successful initial meeting in Germany, we embarked on mission to Norway in June 2024 to tour Vianode’s facility. We saw firsthand the excellence of Vianode’s operations and began to accelerate our discussions to secure their Ontario expansion. As demand for synthetic graphite ramps up, we are proud to stand in partnership with Vianode and look forward to seeing this project position the province as a leading supplier for strategic industries at home and abroad.

Today, our government proudly welcomed a $107M investment from @elementfiveco, a homegrown mass timber manufacturer in St. Thomas. This expansion will create 150 new, good-paying jobs across the region and support the rising demand for modular building materials. By leveraging the strength of the forestry sector, our government is increasing competitiveness, securing domestic supply chains, and unlocking new opportunities for Ontario’s workers, builders, and homeowners.
