@r0ck3t23 I don’t relish living in a can on a planet not designed for us to live on. His reason to move to Mars is a good idea if there is no God. If there is a God (and I assure you there is) Moving to Mars doesn’t change anything. Because we bring our problem with us. Go and come back

Elon Musk said something that should keep every person on this planet up at night. Musk: “I think we need to assume that life and consciousness is extremely rare, and it might only be us.” 13.8 billion years of physics. Trillions of galaxies. Billions of trillions of stars. And one planet opened its eyes. One. The universe ran for nearly 10 billion years before anything looked up and asked what it was. 10 billion years of stars forming and dying with no one to witness any of it. No one to name it. No one to wonder why. Then we showed up. And for the first time in the history of everything, the universe had a witness. Musk: “The image in my mind is of a tiny candle in a vast darkness. A tiny candle of consciousness that could easily go out.” That’s not a metaphor. That’s a status report. Stars don’t know they burn. Black holes don’t know they consume. Galaxies don’t know they spiral. We do. We are the only part of the universe that has ever experienced it. Every law of physics we’ve uncovered was already running. Silently. For billions of years. With no one to find it. We didn’t create meaning. We’re the first thing that could recognize it was missing. That’s what makes Musk’s point so much deeper than most people realize. He’s not arguing that humanity matters because we’re special. He’s saying we might be the only reason “mattering” is a concept at all. Without consciousness, the universe still runs. Stars still burn. Planets still orbit. But none of it means anything. Not because it’s meaningless. Because meaning requires a mind. And there might only be one. Musk isn’t building rockets because he likes engineering. He’s building them because he realized the only thing that ever gave the universe a name has a single point of failure. One asteroid. One war. One century of wrong decisions. And the witness goes silent. The atoms keep moving. The physics keeps running. But nobody is there to call it anything. The universe doesn’t end. It just goes back to not knowing it exists. The most profound thing about what Musk said isn’t that the candle is small. It’s that without the candle, there’s no such thing as darkness either.

@FoxNews Don’t let the talking heads tell you that Trump endorsing a candidate makes him win. Clearly the American people did this and are sick and tired of Rinos and corrupt Democrats. America first or you are gone.

NOW: Sen. John Cornyn speaks after losing Texas’ Republican Senate primary runoff to Trump-backed Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton. "After a public service career lasting more than four decades and 18 consecutive campaign wins, tonight, we've come up short in this primary runoff." He says he intends to support the Republican ticket in the general election.

Commandeering state DMVs into federal tax collectors is not constitutional. The proposed tax is bad on its own, but this aspect is an attempt at usurping state sovereignty. And, yes, the tax would be extended to all cars in no time. Just say no!
Mike Palicz@Mike_Palicz

@RonDeSantis EVs are just first, when committee introduced it last year there was a $20 annual tax on gas powered cars. Worse, it turns state DMVs into tax collectors for the federal government. Imagine Republicans campaigning on merging the DMV and IRS together.

Nothing to see here. Just two guys wearing protective gear from head to toe as they spray strawberries with POISON. These will be shipped and sold in grocery stores all across the country. How did this become “normal” in America? It’s past time to Make America Healthy Again.

During the third presidential debate in 2000, Al Gore walked across the stage to stand right next to George W. Bush while he was answering a question about the Patient Bill of Rights. The moment became iconic when Bush interrupted his speech to give Gore a dismissive, mocking nod, which the audience greeted with laughter and which critics later deemed a tactical error on Gore’s part.

The Black Death arrived in England in 1348. Within two years, somewhere between a third and a half of the population was dead. The peasants who survived noticed something within a generation. There was nobody left to work the fields. The labour shortage was so severe that landlords, for the first time in English history, had to bid for workers. The peasants, suddenly possessed of leverage, demanded payment partly in meat. Beef, mutton, and bacon began appearing in the manorial accounts of agricultural labourers' wages. Skeletal records from English burials in the late 1300s and 1400s, set against pre-plague remains, show measurable increases in average adult height. Bone density improves. Dental health improves. Iron-deficiency markers decline. The peasants got taller. The peasants got stronger. The peasants started causing political problems on a scale they had previously been too undernourished to attempt. In 1351 Parliament passed the Statute of Labourers, attempting to cap wages back at pre-plague levels. The peasants noticed. In 1381, well-fed, the same peasants marched on London in the largest popular uprising in medieval English history. The nobility, in the centuries that followed, expanded the Forest Laws. Killing a deer in a royal forest was a capital offence. The Game Laws of the 1600s and 1700s extended the principle. Meat available to the peasant shrank back toward what it had been before the plague. By 1850, the average British army recruit from the industrial slums was so short and so undernourished that the height minimum for enlistment had to be lowered repeatedly to keep the regiments staffed. The single greatest improvement in working-class height and health in English history was caused by a plague that made meat affordable for two generations. The single greatest decline was caused, in significant part, by a political decision to make it expensive again. You can see the whole sequence in the skeletons. The skeletons are in the museums. Go and look.

@Kylechasse He’s lying just like all the rest. He’s trying to influence people to sell. Where he’s delusional is that he thinks it will affect the price. Bitcoin is past that. Halving, scarcity and printing money affects the price. Not much left get it while you can.

Marc Cuban sold 80% of his Bitcoin because it didn't act like a hedge during the Iran war. Gold hit $5,000. BTC dipped. He called it a disappointment and walked. But BTC is up 16%+ since the conflict started. He measured a 4-year asset by a 4-week window. That's not analysis. That's impatience.
