While it’s lovely to have a one-off event in the market hall, what is the deal with the huge expanse of sparse, blank walls and building paraphernalia? So much for a welcoming, professional and ‘versatile’ space @TamesideCouncil

@TamesideCouncil Well, it’s definitely not the pathetic attempt of a riverside walk in #Stalybridge between Alma St and Bohemia Cottages on Stamford St. There’s no claustrophobic alleyway, fly tipping, broken and dangerous fences, a bridge that needs TLC, or an ugly rubble filled River Tame.

Great that it’s back in #Stalybridge, but apart from the @rxtheatre Den, any plans for use of the space for the other 300+ days @TamesideCouncil? And when will we ever hear our beautiful clock chime again?

@HighPeakBC Good luck, we’re still waiting for @TamesideCouncil to have a proper plan for #Stalybridge Market Hall. Seems every other borough in and around GM have utilised and maximised their assets and brought them back to life, with #Tameside seriously in danger of missing the boat.

Obviously cannot condone the disgusting people who litter, but is anyone responsible for this path that leads from #Stalybridge Aldi car park to the Huddersfield narrow canal towpath? It’s an absolute tip, unkempt, dirty and dingy. @TamesideCouncil @CanalRiverTrust @AldiUK

@TamesideCouncil @CanalRiverTrust This is the view from the Staley Bridge, at the junction of Stamford St, Old Street, Corporation Street and Portland Place in Stalybridge. The river, riverbank and embankments from here towards the pedestrian bridge behind Alma Street garages is littered with so, so much waste.
