Clear value on the Argentine who can really play lively clay court tennis at 1,500 feet of altitude. Interesting conditions tomorrow with chilly temperatures and dry dews. It’s a whole change of pace for Majchrzak who will be transitioning off the tropical Miami climate. Cerundolo possesses a very good left-handed forehand and is a strong defender, exhibiting elite court coverage and ability to wear opponents down. It’s an interesting spot for Cerundolo largely because he changes eye levels consistently. He frequently throws in lobs and tactical clay junk to force errors out of his opponents. Majchrzak is a player who can be extremely inconsistent from the baseline and if you’re constantly changing his eye levels, and mixing in a good variety, balls will start sailing long in these conditions. I think you have a solid price on Cerundolo’s game. It should be a battle, but Majchrzak is fadeable at this price.
