According to @George_Kurtz, the #CrowdStrike incident is a classic Cross-System Interaction (CSI) failure. CSI failures are on the frontline of system reliability challenges. With the rapid increase of intricate (often opaque) interactions *across* interdependent systems, reliability is much harder to reason about. CSI reliability requires collective analysis of interacting systems beyond individual ones, and techniques of doing that is rather under developed.
