@Spectrum61726 As Criminal Justice professional, I agree. Discretion is imporant but so are ethical calls. Applying context only when it fits isn’t fair and consistent. The red card is totally a red card and it changed the tie. Giving that pen is totally a pen and it would’ve change the tie.

@PapiKris_ Exactly, cuz look at the red card on Curbasi. Rules say it’s a red card, but why can’t we look at context there and see that curbasi was getting out of the way?? Ref initially gave yellow which is very acceptable given the context but VAR needed him to follow the rules.
