Thorough review of @StarFiveTech VisionFive 2 Lite RISC-V SBC with Ubuntu 24.04. cnx-software.com/2025/12/31/vis… The VisionFive 2 Lite is a credit card-sized SBC powered by a StarFive quad-core 64-bit RISC-V SoC. We tested most of its features, including HDMI video and audio output, Gigabit Ethernet, WiFi 6, USB ports, NVMe SSD storage, and GPIOs. Surprisingly, everything we tested works, including 3D graphics acceleration and hardware video decoding. However, the throughput of WiFi 6, Bluetooth, USB, and NVMe storage was all on the low side, and some software packages are still outdated (e.g., Firefox). The CPU performance is similar to that of the Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+, or close to Rockchip RK3566 boards. A lot of progress has been made in the last three years compared to the original VisionFive 2 SBC.
