Full source code on GitHub: 🔗 Demo: github.com/boat-x/boatatt… 🔗 BoAT SDK: github.com/boat-x/BoAT4 Grab a VisionFive2, run make && ./boat-attest-c, and your board is attesting and paying on its own. The machines are ready to join the economy. We're giving them wallets.

We put a blockchain wallet on a RISC-V board and let it pay its own bills. Meet boat-attest-c: a native C program running on @StarFiveTech VisionFive2 that collects system metrics, signs them, submits attestations to HashAnchor, and pays for the service — all autonomously. 🧵👇

Why native C? On constrained edge hardware, every byte of RAM and every millisecond of startup matters. The binary is small, links against BoAT v4 as a static library, and compiles natively on the board with make. No runtime. No interpreter. Just code and silicon.

How x402 works: → Board submits attestation ← Server returns HTTP 402 + payment requirement → BoAT signs payment authorization (EIP-712) → Board resubmits with proof One round-trip. A fraction of a cent. No subscription. No API key. Just pay-per-use at the protocol level.

What does it do? 1️⃣ Collects memory usage, CPU load, timestamp 2️⃣ Hashes with SHA-256, signs with Ed25519 3️⃣ Submits to HashAnchor (hashanchor.xid.network) 4️⃣ Pays via x402 protocol in USDC No human in the loop. The machine pays for exactly what it uses.

Why VisionFive2? RISC-V is open silicon — royalty-free, vendor-neutral, community-governed. Blockchain is open source. Put them together and you get a stack with no proprietary lock-in from chip to chain. Open hardware + open ledger = the right foundation for the machine economy.
