MEV extracted over $1.38 billion from Ethereum users in 2024 alone. Sandwich attacks, front-running, liquidation sniping: all of them have the same root cause. Every pending transaction is visible to anyone watching the mempool before it settles. The bot sees your trade, inserts itself before and after, and pockets the difference. You pay the tax without knowing it existed. The standard response has been mempool encryption and private transaction relays. Both patch the symptom. The transaction is still public the moment it settles, and the economic incentive to exploit the execution order never disappears, it just gets pushed earlier in the pipeline. Rialo's REX handles this differently at the architecture level. Inputs to a transaction run inside a confidential execution environment. The data never appears on the public ledger at any point in the execution lifecycle. There's no mempool to watch because the sensitive content of the transaction is never exposed to external observers during execution. MEV isn't mitigated on @RialoHQ. It's structurally removed from the design. The honest caveat: confidential execution doesn't eliminate all forms of value extraction. Timing attacks, sequencer manipulation, and validator-level information asymmetry are all still real vectors. But front-running specifically requires knowing what someone is about to do. A system that never reveals that information during execution removes the precondition entirely. That's a different class of protection than anything currently deployed at scale.
