The evidence is clear: taller buildings make cities more productive, compact and efficient. So why aren’t we building real density around Belfast’s train stations? If we want a successful city, we need homes where the trains are, not more sprawl. Transport and housing should be planned together.

It is mind-boggling to think these tunnels under Piccadilly Circus tube station were built in 1906, and the elaborate station complex above it, complete with escalators and deep lifts, in 1928. And it is still in operation today. #London

This is genuinely such an insanely shit attitude. People drive everywhere because the public transport here is not very good, if it was better, more people would use it. What about people who dont have cars? They need to rely on public transport. Everywhere, trains are needed.

London is also not a driveable city, when I've been up north even in cities like Manchester I have asked how to get around on public transport and locals literally don't know because they drive everywhere. You really don't need that many trains lol

Land NI's main airport 8:30pm on Sunday & public transprt to its 2nd city is almost zero. Last train Belfst-Derry 7:10pm so can't get train at Antrim (tho can to Coleraine). Last 212 bus leaves Bfast 9:15pm, so too early. Only option is 100min wait for @Aircoach🤷‍♂️ A complete joke
