As other hostages returned, Ran Gvili remained. We kept Ran Gvili's image in the top left corner of every regular front page – a daily reminder. The IDF recovered his remains from Gaza today.
Tomorrow's edition marks the moment with a blue ribbon: "They are all home."

I would think that any anxiety would be the constant murder attempts by Massri’s fellow ideological travelers, not issues of self doubt. Apparently if you’re concerned about such threats that creates a contradiction with claims of indigeneity, in the same way that constipation contradicts with employment status — in that both are completely unrelated and nonsensical. What a ridiculous analysis.

What I’ve discovered here on Twitter is striking: many Israelis insist that they are the legitimate owners of the land, yet at the same time they live in a constant state of fear and anxiety. This contradiction is clear—those who truly believe they have full and unquestionable rights do not live in such persistent dread and anticipation. This fear seems to stem from a deep awareness that the true owner of the land remains steadfast and determined to reclaim it. Alongside this is an ongoing sense of isolation and rejection—not only from Palestinians, but from many people around the world, even as some governments continue to support them politically. We Palestinians have found ourselves trapped in this historical injustice, paying the price for international decisions in which we had no part, while being asked to bear the consequences alone—despite being the people of the land and the heart of the cause.

First to Go In, Last to Return: MSGT. Ran Gvili, of Blessed Memory, Has Returned Home
Following extensive joint efforts by the Israel Police, the IDF, and the National Center of Forensic Medicine, the fallen hostage, MSGT. Ran (Rani) Gvili, of blessed memory, has been located and positively identified. Ran will be laid to rest in Israel with full honors.
The Commissioner of Police, Daniel Levy, spoke with Rani’s father, Itzik Gvili, updated him on the details, and extended a warm embrace to him and the entire family on behalf of the officers of the Israel Police.
The Commissioner once again emphasized Rani’s determination and bravery. A officer in the YASAM unit, Rani shielded the civilians of the State of Israel with his body, acting with courage and self-sacrifice in defense of others.
An honor convoy led by the Israel Police will escort Rani’s coffin to the National Center of Forensic Medicine in Abu Kabir.
We share in the family’s profound sorrow and salute both them and Rani, a true hero of Israel.

Also worth noting that SUPER UW used to work extremely close with Samidoun Seattle, with one local report at the latter’s founding stating that there was a lot of shared membership. The partnership role with SUPER appears to have been replaced by Nidal Seattle, which is run by ex-Samidoun Seattle coordinator and Masar Badil executive member Bissan Barghouti, who is seen in one of those pictures you shared of the delegation to the Iranian diplomatic mission.
Regarding support for Elias Rodriguez, SUPER UW was also a signatory to a Tariq el Tahrir petition backing the alleged terrorist, and calling his actions “eminently defensible and morally righteous.”

Not a thought, but a feeling. Not only is there anything in Zionist thought that would preclude free speech, it has enabled a state which enjoys vastly superior free speech than others in the region. Given the popularity of other more popular ideologies and their predilection for cracking down on free speech, taking edge cases to focus on this one is just ridiculous.
