Senior diaspora affairs and Jewish world correspondent for the @Jerusalem_Post. October 7 War veteran. Opinions are my own.

I’ve been drafted into military reserves again. For some, the war isn’t over. I’m taking leave from Jpost, so any new stories are older ones now being used. It’s been tough building a career during the war, so if you’ve enjoyed my work, give a follow. I hope to resume soon.

Josh Shapiro's new book is really Jewish — like, really Jewish. I wrote about the PA governor's choice to lean hard into being Jewish & loving Israel when that isn't necessarily a choice he can expect to be rewarded for politically right now jewishinsider.com/2026/01/pennsy…

What I’ve discovered here on Twitter is striking: many Israelis insist that they are the legitimate owners of the land, yet at the same time they live in a constant state of fear and anxiety. This contradiction is clear—those who truly believe they have full and unquestionable rights do not live in such persistent dread and anticipation. This fear seems to stem from a deep awareness that the true owner of the land remains steadfast and determined to reclaim it. Alongside this is an ongoing sense of isolation and rejection—not only from Palestinians, but from many people around the world, even as some governments continue to support them politically. We Palestinians have found ourselves trapped in this historical injustice, paying the price for international decisions in which we had no part, while being asked to bear the consequences alone—despite being the people of the land and the heart of the cause.

I honestly don't think Zionism, at least in its contemporary form, is compatible with free speech.
