Going into my last year of college I asked Coach Woody “what do I need to do for next year? What’s my role gonna be?” He said: “Make shots” That was it lol. Simple enough. A common Teddy Wheeler (@Stars3Stripes) phrase I’ve heard for over a decade was and still is: “They pay dudes for makes!” Shooting the basketball is a skill any player can learn It’s the most sought after skill in the game In college you are ALWAYS an asset if you could “make shots” A lot of players take hits with their potential playing time bc they can’t “make shots” It’s a skill where you get out what you put in Anyone can do it.
