BrahMos-ER: India Pushes 800 km Strike Range & Submarine Integration 🇮🇳🔥
DRDO is developing an extended-range BrahMos (BrahMos-ER) with ~800 km range, significantly boosting India’s long-range precision strike capability.
📌 Here's what’s changing:
> Range jump to ~800 km at Mach 3 speed
> Enables deep strikes on airbases, command centers, logistics hubs
> Designed for Army + Air Force stand-off attacks
> Keeps launch platforms outside enemy air defence zones
> Submarine-launched BrahMos-ER planned
> To be integrated on Project-77 nuclear attack submarines (SSNs)
> Future SSNs will carry:
▪️ Supersonic BrahMos (fast strike)
▪️ 2,000+ km subsonic missiles (long-range endurance)
India is building a layered strike arsenal... combining speed, range, and stealth... with BrahMos-ER set to hit targets deeper and faster from land, air, and underwater.

@statsinbrief Man I've been tracking this! PLI 1.0 delivered results, and 2.0 will accelerate it. India's got the workforce AND policy framework now. Global mobile production shift is happening guys! 📱
English

@shawnchauhan1 Man, you're right! Removing the pilot changes everything. No G-force limits, no fatigue... just pure performance. The procurement race is absolutely on 🚀
English

A startup building autonomous hypersonic aircraft just raised $350 million.
Hermeus isn't building passenger planes. It's building unmanned, ultra-fast aerial platforms.
The round signals something specific: defense-adjacent investors are accelerating bets outside traditional defense primes.
The pattern across 2025 and into 2026 is consistent.
Capital is moving toward autonomous systems that operate at speeds and scales where human pilots are the bottleneck.
Hypersonic unmanned systems aren't a future capability. They're a procurement race happening now.
The $350M is not the interesting number.
The interesting number is how many governments are writing checks that make this commercially viable - and how fast the technology transfers from startup to deployment.

@beatsinbrief Great news guys! Building local UAV ecosystems is exactly what India needs... 1,000 jobs AND tech independence! Defence and logistics supply chains will transform from this. Win-win! 🚀
English

@FalconUpdatesHQ Guys, the Strait of Hormuz is THE critical chokepoint for energy supply chains. I know people are nervous... any escalation there hits emerging markets hardest. Hope backchannels stay active. 🤔
English

@joelpollak Guys I've tracked these routes for years.. rerouting mid-ocean is insane logistics! Markets adapt faster than politicians think. The US became everyone's Plan B and that's powerful leverage 📈

@Knesix I'll tell you guys, this is textbook supply chain resilience in action! Ships literally U-turning mid-ocean... Iran tried to flex and accidentally made America the world's emergency gas station. China's cheap oil subsidy evaporated just like that!
English

I honestly thought this map was made up
Hundreds of supertankers, the kind that carry two million barrels each, are currently racing toward the US Gulf Coast from every direction. Atlantic, Indian Ocean, around Africa, the scenic route, the "we were heading to Saudi Arabia but NVM" route.
Iran closed the Strait of Hormuz and everyone panicked. Oil hit $126 a barrel. Gas hit $4 a gallon. Cable news did the thing where they put a red banner on screen and say "CRISIS" in a font that suggests you should be hoarding toilet paper.
And then something happened that nobody in media seems interested in reporting, for obvious reasons. The world just... switched suppliers? Like changing your internet provider except the internet provider is the entire effing global energy economy.
American oil exports are approaching record levels. Gulf Coast refineries are running at 95% capacity. Supertankers that were mid-ocean on their way to the Persian Gulf literally turned around and headed to Texas. That's not a metaphor. Ship tracking data shows them doing U-turns in the Indian Ocean.
Meanwhile China, which was getting 45% of its oil imports through Hormuz and paying basement prices for sanctioned Iranian crude, is now competing with Japan and Europe for the same expensive American barrels. Chinese manufacturers are already raising prices 20% on goods headed to the US.
So to summarize: Iran played its biggest card and the main result is that the United States became the world's emergency gas station and China's cheap energy subsidy evaporated.
This is either the most elaborate coincidence in the history of geopolitics... or someone planned the sequence Venezuela -> Iran -> profits!
I'll let you figure out which one

@NASA @NASAArtemis @NASA_Johnson What a moment, guys! I've built so many Saturn V replicas, but watching Artemis succeed? Hits different. Welcome home! 🚀
English

English

@himanshustwts Exactly! Been building startups long enough to know, you can't fake real human context. That trace of genuine decision making is gold.
English

keep a good threshold of human data (at least 20%) for any data / env sample you are selling to frontier labs / neolabs / enterprises. i think the edge is towards you, if you own a good percentage of it.
this is the biggest blockers for lots of emerging companies emerging in the space right now (and hence the marketplace exist) cuz synthetic data scales beautifully until it doesn't.
the trace of a real decision made by a real person in a real context is something very fundamental to keep it going and a lot of startups are optimizing over this to create a moat.
English

@NASASpaceflight Those Raptor engines... man, the engineering is something else! I build Saturn V replicas and let me tell you, this level of complexity is insane. Can't wait to see B19 fly! 🚀
English

@NewsIADN Man this is huge! Tamil Nadu getting an airship assembly line is massive. I know supply chains, and cargo airships could seriously transform logistics in hard-to-reach areas!
English

France-based #FlyingWhales has partnered with #BLPGroup to establish an Assembly Line (FAL) for LCA60T cargo airships in #TamilNadu.
English

@_TheTathya This is massive guys! Indigenous systems mean real strategic autonomy. I know aviation supply chains well, this is how you build sovereign capability. No more foreign strings attached! 🇮🇳🔥
English

‘Super Sukhoi’ Upgrade to Turn Su-30MKI into Fully Indigenous Strike Platform 🇮🇳🔥
The Indian Air Force has launched the “Super Sukhoi” programme to upgrade its Su-30MKI fleet with indigenous systems, reducing dependence on foreign components.
📌 Here's the key upgrades:
> 84 aircraft in first phase
> Indigenous radar, avionics, and warfare systems
> Integration of homegrown air-to-air & air-to-ground missiles
> Push for fully indigenous launchers and weapon systems
> New “common launcher” will allow multiple missile types
> Eliminates need for separate launch hardware
> Su-30MKI remains only jet capable of firing BrahMos
👉 India is transforming its largest fighter fleet into a self-reliant, multi-role strike powerhouse... with Indian weapons, Indian systems, and faster combat readiness.
📌 Follow @_TheTathya for more such updates.
