3/3 Speaking during the meeting, the Deputy Solicitor General reaffirmed the Department’s commitment to upholding justice, ensuring inclusivity, and addressing historical injustices through lawful and consultative processes.

2/3 The group sought redress from the State Department for Justice, urging for expedited intervention and a structured pathway toward resolving longstanding grievances.

1/3 Today, a group of youth from the Maasai community in Narok and Kajiado paid a courtesy call on the Deputy Solicitor General, Mr. Lawrence Muiruri, to present a petition on historical land injustices in their respective home areas dating back to the colonial era.

3/3 Additionally, the session provided a valuable platform for experience-sharing, collaboration, and strengthening of ethical governance among legal practitioners in the Public Service. The workshop took place at the AG Training Chambers in Sheria House.

2/3 The workshop aims to equip officers with the knowledge & skills necessary to mainstream ethics & integrity within their operational areas. It also focuses on enhancing understanding of the objectives & principles outlined in the African Charter, & Kenya’s compliance.

1/7 The Principle Secretary State Department For Justice @Jnpareno on Thursday 5th, 2026 attended as Chief Guest at the inception meeting for the review of the National Ethics and Anti-Corruption Policy (NEAP), Sessional Paper No. 2 of 2018.

We are implementing a robust package of reforms to contain road accidents across the country. Key measures include the roll-out of instant fines, the introduction of a demerit points system, and the reclassification of minor traffic offences from criminal to administrative violations. Beginning July 2026, mandatory vehicle inspections will commence alongside the installation of surveillance cameras in major towns to strengthen enforcement. We are also leveraging digital innovation to curb corruption, introducing defensive driver certification, and formalising boda boda operators through SACCOs. Achieving lasting change requires a whole-of-government and whole-of-society approach to road safety. As we play our part, we call on all Kenyans to obey traffic rules and remain mindful of fellow road users. Attended the thanksgiving ceremony for Justice, Human Rights and Constitutional Affairs Principal Secretary Judith Pareno at Mashuuru, Kajiado County. We commend her for breaking barriers to rise to the position of Principal Secretary, setting a good example for women leaders across our country to not only aspire for top leadership positions, but also to lead with distinction.
