@jarredsumner Alright, this is the kick in the ass I need to dramatically improve the performance of our image protocol implementation (its very slow, nothing has really pushed it yet, but I bet this will).

I packaged up the "autoresearch" project into a new self-contained minimal repo if people would like to play over the weekend. It's basically nanochat LLM training core stripped down to a single-GPU, one file version of ~630 lines of code, then: - the human iterates on the prompt (.md) - the AI agent iterates on the training code (.py) The goal is to engineer your agents to make the fastest research progress indefinitely and without any of your own involvement. In the image, every dot is a complete LLM training run that lasts exactly 5 minutes. The agent works in an autonomous loop on a git feature branch and accumulates git commits to the training script as it finds better settings (of lower validation loss by the end) of the neural network architecture, the optimizer, all the hyperparameters, etc. You can imagine comparing the research progress of different prompts, different agents, etc. github.com/karpathy/autor… Part code, part sci-fi, and a pinch of psychosis :)

Daydreaming about an entry MacBook Neo as a thin client for local LLMs and dev work on a maxed future Mac Studio. Apple is creating the best value hardware for local AI and it’s amazing to think of consequences of that.

Pull Requests on @GitHub can now be limited to repo collaborators or disabled entirely. This should help cut down on unwanted noise and give maintainers more control over their experience

It seems you can still glitch easily into the Key Rooms in ARC Raiders without using a Key - especially when playing as a team. This exploit should be fixed as soon as possible! @ARCRaidersGame @EmbarkStudios Clip from @ZB_TV 's Stream

@ArcRaiderAlerts And just didn’t fix the teleporting through key doors? There is no benefit to finding keys if players can just phase through them every raid 😂

@BOM_Qld It would be good if the new weather radar displayed the current observations for each location like it used to. Temp, wind speed & direction, and recent rainfall.

Great news today, and something I know a lot of you have been hoping for… ALL hardcover editions of The Strength of the Few will have a reversible jacket with both the new art, and a cover in the original style! Thrilled that Saga Press were willing and able to make this happen.

Proxmox is such a great tool for testing Omarchy and Omakub releases. I just have a bunch of snapshots at different versions and times that I can upgrade to verify that stuff works. All powered by my lovely Minisforum A2 home server and accessed via @tailscale from wherever!

Go 1.25 adds built-in CSRF protection to net/http via CrossOriginProtection. It uses modern fetch metadata (Sec-Fetch-Site, Origin) to reject unsafe cross-origin requests — no tokens, no cookies. Just drop it in. #golang
