I will say this now, as much as I love Caleb Malhotra, if the #Canucks passed on Ivan Stenberg to take him, that will go down as one of the biggest failures in this organizations long and colourful history.

@ZachClarkePxP I recall seeing reports from local media during season they had Stenberg as #1 in class and weren’t as high on McKenna. Part of my rationale But I agree, I love the all around package Maholtra brings, but they need dynamic upside. Even if it means you take a winger over a center

@TFCGooner2 @sportsrage Are you intentionally being daft or are you legitimately this limited at reading and comprehending data that’s right there in front of you? Their attendance dropped for the 3 years affected by COVID measures and returned to pre-2020 levels well ahead of Muller’s arrival

@Stats87 @sportsrage “Apart from the three years before Muller turned up” I don’t think the Caps get any different attendance figures compared to other clubs that are doing well. But when the team was mediocre so were the attendance figures. Thats not uncommon in MLS

@TFCGooner2 @sportsrage That’s not even close to true. The only years it dipped sharply were the 3 years from 20-21 to 22-23 and there’s a clear reason why that happened

San Jose on the balance has defended very well and the Whitecaps final ball has been lacking, but the commentators are doing a lot of work here to mask the fact the Quakes have been just hanging on most of the match

You obviously don't understand how percentage (%) works. Yes, the percentage drop for PS5 was higher but because of the baseline they still sold more units than Xbox (which reported 9 consecutive declines in hardware). When PS5 only sold 1.5 million, imagine how Xbox performed?

@JCourvilleLynch I like him and was annoyed when Tocchet forced him out of town in Vancouver, but ideally he’s not having to consistently play in a top 6 But the replies to your post have folks still taking him over Holloway, which is all kinds of silly. Even with salary consideration

@Stats87 Let’s not undermine Podkolzin either, he does a lot well away from the puck. Sure, heaters usually aren’t sustainable - but he’s an incredible fit alongside Draisaitl.

Podkolzin has quickly become the most overrated player in Edmonton by its fans. He was a nice add for cheap and he has a nice all around game. But he gets spoken about like he had 35 goals this year and didn’t have a career high shooting %

Podkolzin is extremely effective, but let’s not get it twisted, Dylan Holloway at $7.75M is one of the best valued contracts in the NHL. Letting Holloway walk is a top-10, maybe top-5 all-time blunder by the Oilers.
