if you deep dive a little bit about gasless execution, RLN-based anti-spam, a reputation system that actually works, real privacy primitive...
tdlr: Gasless was in fact never just about gas. as gas markets are the single largest source of deanonymization onchain: funding trails, timing correlations, account reuse, gas parameter fingerprints.
if you remove the fee market, and those traces stop being generated in the first place, you get the real privacy as a protocol-level property
