Everyone’s opinion makes sense to them from their own perspective. This is why “us versus them” battles are such a pointless game. You are not a true critical thinker until you can understand your opponent’s point of view from their perspective, even better than they understand it themselves.

@drgurner Seneca💪 One of the most perilous illusions is believing your real life hasn’t begun… That the present is merely a prelude to some future idyll, only to arrive at your deathbed and realize it was not so.

Blue tick accounts are always asking useless questions for engagement 🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️ “Would you choose your dad in your next life?” “Give me a female name” “What is your favorite painkiller?” You can use this app for fun and still get engagement, you don’t have to kill the fun for money 🤦🏾‍♀️😭

Never let your kids see how rich you are. It breeds entitlement and can put both you and them at risk. Peter Buffett, son of Warren Buffett, revealed he had no idea his family was wealthy until he was in his twenties. He only discovered it when he saw his father’s name on the Forbes Billionaires List and burst out laughing.

It’s easier to replace smoking with vaping, and then replace vaping with not smoking, than to quit smoking directly. The human brain finds it easier to replace a vice with a lesser vice than to replace a vice with a virtue.

He died carelessly. Patricide, the killing of one’s father by his son, is fundamentally an emotional crime. The warning signs are almost always there. An attentive father would have noticed them. It often begins with persecutory delusions, feelings of being marginalised, a sense of not being loved enough, and similar grievances.

The man was our direct neighbour in Guzape. He was hardly around because he spent most of his time out of the country. In fact, he had just returned from Turkey barely two days before his son killed him. His children lived in the house and lacked nothing. They even had an inverter, and my sister would often joke about their electricity bill because their ACs were almost always on, especially in this Adelabu Band A era. Only for the shocking truth to emerge that his own son killed him. At first, the boy tried to make it look like armed robbers had attacked the house. But thankfully, a neighbour’s CCTV camera was reviewed, and it showed that he was the last person to enter the compound with his girlfriend around 2am. Honestly, this world is becoming frightening. It is heartbreaking that a son could do something like this to his own father! 😪

Billonaire businessman Chief Godwin Chinedu Adimike was reportedly murdered at his Number 3 Hassan Adamu street, Guzape Abuja by his 21 year old son, who is currently a service NYSC member, on Friday May 15 2026. He was stabbed multiple times by his son after a heated argument. His son confronted him of being stingy with money, citing how some of his friends' fathers, who were not as wealthy, buy cars for their children. The deceased on the other day, accused his son of being extravagant and mismanaging funds. Following the argument, his son stabbed him thrice, and he died at the spot. It was reported that on this fate ful day, his son had returned from club with two ladies on. And he killed his father in their presence. He's currently in police custody.

What we see affects what we hear, and what we feel affects what we taste. If you feel positively about food from a particular vendor, it tends to taste better. I tried this Ofe Owerri, and it was quite tasty. Everyone around me kept saying it wasn’t all that, but I liked it, probably because I like the cook.
