Has anyone thought about the possibility that China is on a full buyers strike in oil markets?
That would remove (at least in oil barrels) almost the same barrels that we are currently missing

If I had to take a guess, Trump is not serious with these threats. This is a bluff to force Iran to accept an end to the war
And if it works, Trump deserves his flowers for accepting the war didn't go as planned and seeking an off-ramp. Most other Presidents may have doubled down, getting stuck in another forever war

last three weeks: 1-month VX rolling unch, all the money was made in Feb and the first week of March. The return looks huge cause this is sized by notional in this index which is not how you would size it within a portfolio. Once you size it somewhat reasonably in terms of vega, probably up only a little but. Long story short long VX positions performed somewhat better than long gamma positions but still pretty weak.
