My wife and I went out to dinner last night to an Italian restaurant with two other couples. We got a few appetizers and some drinks to start… For my entree, I got seafood pescatore which was delicious. Others got pasta dishes nothing crazy. $250 a couple with tip. Now I’m not cheap by any means but just think it was very expensive for Italian food. Wife tells me it’s the norm these days and that I’m out of touch with reality (since she does all the shopping and I rarely buy anything other than some clothes here and there)… Again it was a great dinner and we had a great time but just thought $250 was very pricey for drinks and Italian food.

@saltymangz @shaguncrypto But you own it. You're not dumping tons of money into a place you'll never own. Why help give a landlord equity when you can build your own?

@SteaderPhil @shaguncrypto This is really bad advice. Owning has much more expenses than just mortgage, and you're locked into a long-term volatile investment.

My mom has a Master’s degree in education. Spent 6+ years in school. Took on $20,000 in student debt. Struggles with basic financial concepts. She has no investment, no assets. This is how broken the system is.

@jaysbookman Abolishing a tax does not require creating an new tax to fill the gap. Having property owners pay less tax adds no additional costs to non-owners. Let government learn how to budget and govern within their means.

Abolishing property taxes lifts the financial burden off those who own property and shifts it to those who do not own property. Given current wealth distribution, that’s a pretty bad idea.

If you’re still struggling at that income level the problem isn’t the economy. It’s the decisions being made with the money after it lands. Budgeting. Investing. Cutting the unnecessary. The income isn’t the issue. The habits are. 💯
