From April, we're raising the National Living Wage and National Minimum Wage. The cost of living is the number one issue people are facing, with too many struggling to make ends meet. I am determined to tackle it.

@Keir_Starmer “The rider is bigger than the horse.” Heard this quote today and it perfectly sums up the Labour approach. Higher min wage will lead to less jobs, especially those that AI can replace. Short term vote ploy when many other options exist.

Lord Falconer says people with “learning difficulties or autism” could, with “proper assistance”, access assisted suicide. That should alarm every Peer in the Lords. Vulnerable people don’t need help to die. They need support to live.

@WestminsterWAG @UKLabour Completely agree. Creating wealth - or even just a decent lifestyle - through your own endeavour simply means having the pips squeezed out of your earnings at every opportunity. I am happy to pay my share - and do - but the incentive to continue is reducing fast.
