#OTD On March 16, 1979, by order of the Ministry of Defense Industry, the Kharkiv Design Bureau was assigned the task of Design and Development work on the development of the main battle tank of the 1990s - code “Boxer”. The tank was to replace the T-64A, T-72 and T-80. You can see the original requirements for the tank in the given thematic chart - these were the requirements the Customer (Army) had for the tank of the 1990s. Within the scope of this theme, the tank was designated Object-490A. Then the requirements were repeatedly changed, as well as the design decisions of the tank, and everything turned into another project (477). Within the 490A there were many variants - the first one on a 6-wheel chassis with the possibility of installing a combat compartment on the chassis of serial Object 219 and 478, then a new 7-wheel chassis and an improved turret, then the installation of a 152 mm gun, “Standat” APS and a new configuration of the combat compartment. All projects of the 490A failed because of the non-standard approach to the ammunition package with the use of rounds with a charge of variable shape - the contractor for the armament system was Burevestnik Research Institute and they did not succeed in their idea. Shot with a charge of variable shape from plastic throwing substance - ZIF, required long development and did not appear in time. Two running models of the 490A were produced, one of them without a turret has survived to this day.

@SuTNkwfrFkMhHsG 我再补充几张图吧。图1是对105和125三期弹穿杆的实物测量，可以看到三期弹的钢尖和碳化钨芯，碳化钨芯似乎是直接嵌套进主穿杆后面用尾螺？拧紧，飞行体去掉尾翼的总长大约是605mm。图2是二期弹和三期弹的对比，三期弹稍长一点点。图3和4是一论坛上对那张著名泄密说明书的测算，结论是飞行体总长约672mm

有大佬算出了整个飞行体的长度了👇（避免真有人不明白，飞行体=穿甲体+尾翼，穿甲体=穿杆+穿甲帽） 那么问题来了，牢中三期弹的飞行体总长673 vs 你日这个飞行体总长748 牢中的99A的125炮要几层附魔才能把三期弹的穿深打出超过Type 10的穿深？

@91sexinsex 量了一下图1中整弹长度和发射药底缘直径的比值也就是蓝线比黑线是3.91：1。后来在网上一直没有看到中系125mm分装弹底缘直径的数据（有知道的大佬还请赐教）就根据图2量了一下应该是172mm，这样可以算出图1飞行体总长大约是673mm（有一定误差），与二期弹展板和三期弹论文数据都很接近
