I think the most important takeaway from this entire process is that the Dolphins made the decision to fire Chris Grier and Mike McDaniel. Stephen Ross was not okay with the status quo and made a change. Did he hire the right guys? We don’t know yet. It may very well end in complete disaster. Regardless, we all know that Grier and McDaniel were not able to get the job done. Replacing them with Sullivan and Hafley, at the very least, gives us the chance to finally get it right. #PhinsUp

If the Dolphins still looked like the REAL Dolphins, this would be a more coveted job.

This is not to raise hopes. As we said last week: QB, cap space, roster are among factors that he will consider, and Dolphins don't compare to some other suitors in those areas. But there will be at least more contact, person with direct involvement assures me. As @schadjoe and I reported, don't assume Dolphins are unquestionably out just because no conversations yet.

Per source, there is more contact planned between Dolphins side and Harbaugh side. No idea where it goes or whether Miami makes his list of finalists, but this is not the end of contact.
