#Birds What do you think about this? British-owned beef giant CPC has been granted a permit to poison and kill 20,000 native galahs and little corellas at one of their vast cattle stations in the NT, Australia. In its permit application, CPC admits its practices created the problem: “grain production, on-site storage, and cattle feeding have provided an artificial food source.” Ornithologist Dr Lilleyman was "shocked" to learn of the NT government's decision to grant the permit. She said that Birdlife Australia is concerned about the potential for secondary poisoning of non-target species occurring close to "an internationally significant wetland". CPC has ten cattle stations on about 9 million acres. They supply cattle and beef to Asian markets, domestic feedlots and processors, and export live cattle. The company is owned by Guy and Julia Hands through the Hands Family Office. They live in Guernsey after leaving England to avoid UK tax. CPC has also applied for massive water licenses for irrigation projects to grow grain sorghum and other crops which will inevitably attract even more birds. So what happens then? Even wider-scale poisoning of native wildlife?

Something's totally off about the number of data centers being built (over 3,000 right now) and the sheer size and compute power they represent. They are massively OVER-building capacity that can't possibly be met by customer demand for compute. And customer revenues can't possibly recover the financial investment needed on these projects. There's clearly some other plan afoot, and I don't yet know what it is. It involves massive compute, but not merely to serve inference or hosting databases and corporate data. There's a much larger plan at work here.

The United States has the largest prison population on earth. Not per capita. Total. More people in cages than China. More than Russia. More than every "authoritarian" state it condemns in its annual human rights reports. 1.8 million people. Disproportionately Black. Disproportionately poor. Disproportionately from the zip codes with the worst schools, the fewest jobs, the most abandoned infrastructure. This is presented as a "criminal justice system." It functions as a labor system. Prison labor, paid between 13 cents and $1.15 an hour in most states, produces goods for McDonald's, Walmart, Victoria's Secret, Whole Foods, and the United States military. The 13th Amendment, which abolished slavery, contains an exception clause: "Except as punishment for crime." That exception has never been closed. It has been expanded. The plantation did not disappear. It received a different name and a legal foundation.

Keir Starmer says protests must now be fully approved by the government and must not offend Israel in any way. He says certain words and phrases will get you arrested for “racism.” The Anti-Defamation League wants these types of rules in the United States.
Shadow of Ezra@ShadowofEzra

Keir Starmer announces that the United Kingdom will introduce new antisemitism laws to strengthen national protection against what the government describes as imminent threats. He says Iran is engaged in a campaign of terror and that the government needs expanded powers to respond effectively. “We need stronger powers to tackle the malign threat posed by states like Iran.”
