@Stubblejumper6 @trainofangels00 @JustinTrudeau @MarkJCarney Trudeau got two lines of Bitumen to the South Coast & a line of Nat-Gas to the North Coast. During a Global Pandemic. While you were complaining. Harper had 10 yrs without progress, brought in the Carbon Pricing. Not that the Party's are very different. It's the Team that counts.

@trainofangels00 Isn’t it interesting how @JustinTrudeau ‘s “no business case” has converted @MarkJCarney ‘s “ultra deep leverage”. The Lieberals have gas lighted Canadians. Canada cannot survive on taxes, it need $$$B’s in resource exports. Ottawa is full of self important dumba$$s

A few months ago, most observers believed the U.S. held a massive upper hand in trade talks with Canada, with stalled negotiations, Trump’s tariffs, and heavy Canadian export dependence making Ottawa look vulnerable ahead of the 2026 USMCA review. That has COMPLETELY changed under Prime Minister Mark Carney, who has assembled a top-tier negotiating team led by veteran diplomat Janice Charette and quickly delivered diversification wins, new trade pacts, and, as we all know by now, a very strong majority government. Canada’s ultra deep leverage in energy (70% of U.S. crude imports), critical minerals, and U.S. market access—once underestimated—is now extremely amplified by credible alternatives and cold, patient strategy, leaving the Americans in a VERY precarious spot: higher inflation risks, supply disruptions in key sectors, and diplomatic isolation as Canada builds alliances elsewhere. #cdnpoli #USMCA #Tariffs

Elbows up, Canada! Congrats to PM Mark Carney on sweeping three special elections on April 13, 2026. This is a direct mandate to resist America's insane and incompetent buffoon. In several key ways, this is a rebuke of Trump.

Did you know that when Mark Carney’s signature first appeared on Canada’s $20 bill in 2008, that $20 had the buying power of $20. Today, that same buying power would require about $29.70. Put another way, today’s $20 bill only buys what about $13.48 bought in 2008. That is how much value Canadians have lost in the dollar since Carney first signed that note. The bill may still say $20, but its real value has been hollowed out. Source bankofcanada.ca/rates/related/…

@agrariangrrl @CJCau @JamesTate121 You are purposely blind if you think your Prov doesn't get Fed Health Educ Infras etc $'s & then you all come retire in the Okanagan. See how that works? No matter how one splits it, Ontario & Quebec provide the Lion's share. End of the day, those taxes are paid by all Canadians.

@SteneLarry @CJCau @JamesTate121 Your argument is falling apart. Healthcare is Provincial. So is Education. So is firefighting. Our village got money for a water treatment plant from the Fed, for which I am grateful, but Sask sends more money to Ottawa per capita and receives less GIS than other Provinces.

What was meant to be a show of force has spiraled into a full-blown agricultural disaster. T.r.u.m.p’s latest potash tariffs were designed to pressure Canada, but instead they detonated inside America’s own farming heartland. In an emergency meeting at the U.S. Department of Agriculture, a senior Trump adviser reportedly admitted the unthinkable: the policy had backfired so badly that American farmers may not survive the growing season. Canada wasted no time. As the world’s largest potash supplier, Ottawa redirected exports to Asia and Europe within days, locking in billion-dollar contracts and tightening its grip on the global fertilizer market. One Canadian official mocked the situation bluntly, saying that if the U.S. doesn’t want Canadian potash, the rest of the world gladly will. On the ground in Iowa, the consequences turned personal. A U.S. farmer broke down during a live interview, explaining that without Canadian potash, crops simply cannot be grown at scale. The result is stark: Canada posts record profits and cements its status as the undisputed “fertilizer king,” while the United States loses control of a critical supply chain at the worst possible moment of the planting season. Analysts are already calling this the worst trade failure of Trump’s year — a pressure tactic that ended up crushing the very people it claimed to defend.

@mec_triste @RAH_NYC @JamesTate121 Sad for the laid off Auto Steel Aluminum & Lumber workers. The Tariff education for every US Industry & small business operation, is starting to hit home. Without our inputs of resources & labour, the USA will find it difficult to compete globally. No Canada inputs, No Great USA.

@RAH_NYC @SteneLarry @JamesTate121 The only farmers I’m sad for are those that voted against Trump. By 2024 they knew the measure of the man. I feel for all those who voted against him but those who voted for him or couldn’t be arsed to vote 🤷🏻‍♂️

@agrariangrrl @CJCau @JamesTate121 As long as Saskatchewan doesn't get up & leave I am good with the laws. But that Potash Industry didn't get started without Federal support. As with Oil Hydro Mining Forestry, it took & takes taxpayers from NFLD to BC. Taxes from those same Industries keeps this Nation humming.

@agrariangrrl @CJCau @JamesTate121 Agree Sask manages the Industry. The Feds could buy. Every resource in Canada belongs to ALL Canadians. No matter the Province, no matter the Resource. No Industry gets built in this Nation without the combined Efforts, Infrastructure, Education, & Taxes paid from all Canadians.

@CJCau @SteneLarry @JamesTate121 Calling BS. Its Saskatchewan's Potash and Sask's decision. Ottawa has been pressuring Nutrien (Canada’s largest potash producer) to shift more exports overseas — but this is a policy push, not a rapid redirection of shipments.

Canada needs to diversify bc US is never more than a few years away from a Trump for the next few elections.

@jamie_saris @JamesTate121 Ireland. Morning. 50% of the vote, is not a landslide. 2029 comes round, think Canada will have zero trade with the US? Still be 60+%. Not sure China will replace what this US Admin is trashing. 2 million+ Cdn jobs still rely on that trade. This fever will pass. Mid-terms coming.

@CreasonJana Forgot the important part, before 1979. Where the UK USA & CIA pulled a coup, because some crazy duly elected leader suggested the Oil was theirs. Installed a dictator Shah, until 79 & then allowed the Shah safe passage no trial. Led us here. Trying stealing their Oil. Still are.

Continued 7 of 7 Here’s what this all adds up to. The United States didn’t stumble into this war because Israel asked nicely. It acted on a threat that five decades of American presidents acknowledged and mostly kicked down the road. Iran was weeks away, not years, from having the material needed for nuclear weapons. It had long-range ballistic missiles capable of reaching U.S. bases and allies throughout the region. It had a weapons development program it had been lying about for years. Calling this Israel’s war ignores fifty years of American policy, multiple rounds of failed diplomacy, and a nuclear program that was running out of road. The world needed someone to act. The better question isn’t why it happened. It’s why it took this long. (c) 2026 Melissa Brodsky

I came across this opinion piece regarding what’s going on in Iran, and it is quite informative. Let’s get something straight, because this hasn’t been talked about enough. And I’m tired of seeing people grabbing headlines and posts that agree with their narrative instead of doing their own research. What’s happening right now in Iran is not Israel’s war. It’s not a Jewish vendetta, it’s not a Middle East skirmish that has nothing to do with the rest of us, and contrary to Tucker Carlson, it has nothing to do with Chabad. You need to know what’s actually going on. Thread 🧵Continued 1 of 7

@RemyHabets @JamesTate121 Although the worst US Govt, in my lifetime, Trump only managed 50.4% of the vote & called it a landslide. Probably a few farmers & citizens in that 49.6%. Had PM Carney not stepped up, we could easily be joining this US folly. It's about the 2 Million+ Cdn jobs for the next Gens.

@SteneLarry @hartmannd12 @JamesTate121 So if most is already sold to the US, why do you want us to gift them extra on top of it? No wonder the Americans call us wimps and think they can wipe their ass with Canada. “Gift them potash”, indeed. Invite them into our homes next to help themselves to our stuff too, why not.

@SteneLarry @JamesTate121 What do you mean “send”? If you personally want to buy potash and gift it to 🇺🇸 governors, nobody will stop you. Are you suggesting the Feds gift potash paid for by our taxes? Or potash makers eschew profits to gift idiots who hate us? If 🇺🇸farmers need potash they can buy it. 🤷‍♀️
