@MickMilee Most religions do come from humanity. Go to Saudi Arabia or Iran, they practice humanity, India too. Humanity isn’t what it’s cracked up to be. We are a fallen species inclined to the bad, inherently depraved.

The guys saying "masturbation isn't a sin" are genuinely making me lose faith in the modern church
Phrog ☆ Jesus Fangirl@PhrogPollen

I'm genuinely baffled at so many people parroting the same belief, That sexual attraction/desire for someone (which is the definition of lust, btw) is the only motivation for someone to get married. As far as I'm aware, this has never been a held church teaching? I've never heard it growing up in the church, never read it in any of my theological studies on the topic, never heard it preached. I'm baffled at the fact that so many men are saying the exact same thing, that the only reason they want to get married is to have sex. Furthermore, I never expected so many Christians to dispute me on what "lust" means. It has always been held, as far as I know, to simply be desiring to have sex with someone you are not married to. That is what the Bible teaches, that is what every pastor and writer who's worth his salt teaches. But I have gotten so many people very aggressively informing me that is not the definition of lust anymore. And that sexually desiring someone is God given. (And no one has really made an attempt to define what they think lust besides like 2 people) Now I'm starting to understand why young Christian women are so off put by Christian men they see online. If you truly believe the sole or primary reason you should get married is to finally sleep with a woman, you're going to have a very hard time finding a woman who feels safe and loved by you. You simply cannot expect a healthy, God-fearing young woman to willingly put herself in a relationship where she is only giving of herself to fuel your desires.

🚨 Restore says "no Tories." So why is Scott Benton involved? He's the ex-Conservative MP who was kicked out of parliament over a lobbying scandal. Now he's emailing on behalf of Restore Britain, for office space in Makerfield, and was spotted at the Great Yarmouth count...

@ThatAlexWoman @RupertLowe10 MPs should serve their constituents and Britain's national interests, not foreign lobbies and minority advocacy groups. I thought you were against identity politics?

Incredible development in the case of the UW troon who was stabbed. The killer told prosecutors that he just wanted to murder a woman. That was his motive. So he either thought the troon was a woman, or he actively included “trans women” in his definition of “women.” Not only was this not a transphobic hate crime, it is probably the world’s first gender affirming murder. Transphobia would have saved this guy’s life.

Progressive socialism isn’t going to be a vote winner in Dorset. I’ve lived here all of my life and it’s largely a traditionalist small c-conservative area, not taken in by populism or socialist economics. It’s traditionally Tory vs Lib Dem for that reason. Restore might have a good chance there, as it isn’t sensationalistic or populist like Reform.

Christian Democracy UK welcomes the Equality and Human Rights Commission's long-awaited guidance on single-sex spaces. Protecting the dignity, safety, and privacy of women and girls must remain paramount. Biological reality and common sense should guide policy, not ideology. We stand for policies rooted in truth, compassion, and the common good, defending the vulnerable while upholding the created order.

Britain is built on a Christian culture. Our parliamentary system, common law, emphasis on human dignity, the idea that all are equal before God (and therefore the law), the weekend, hospitals, universities, and the very language of fairness, mercy and justice we use every day, these are all shaped by centuries of Christian thought and tradition. You can be British without going to church. But the values that make Britain what it is, individual liberty, care for the vulnerable, and the belief in moral truth, are inherently Christian in origin. We weaken our shared identity if we pretend otherwise.
