When Netflix presents a crime “documentary”, its use of camera angles & editing of statements, is skillfully mingled with music. The result is to elicit an emotional response. It is to persuade, not to “document” the crime. Once emotionally impacted, an opinion is formed that can impede critical thinking. Music is powerful. Note the use of crescendo as well as foreboding or sad portions, and whose face is shown during these scenes. #deception #manipulation
