@calirunnerdoc It's similar to how ID docs feel about chronic Lyme disease (in my experience at least).

Infectious disease should be the specialty working with pathologists when tissue samples/biopsies are removed from #LongCOVID patients. They should be searching for these reservoirs, brainstorming about how to treat them. Why do they feel LC is not in their job description?

An infectious disease physician called to consult on my complex case entered my hospital room and said “I don’t deal with #LongCOVID.” Would be like me saying: “I don’t deal with chronic heart failure.” There is something very peculiar going on in medicine right now. 🧐
