. @doge ask: stop predatory lawsuits targeting small businesses with high legal fees and forced settlements. These ‘legal trolls’—copyright, patent, and tort—abuse the courts, driving up costs of the judicial branch to stifle business and exploit the system. Protect small biz.

What’s the best tshirt brand? I want plain colors and durability. No bacon collar. Good fit to show off my potentially huge muscles (one day, maybe) a plus. So...which brand should I buy?

@bry4sd @ToddGloria Proving @ToddGloria is a visionary, while @bry4sd is a Luddite. More eBikes, scooters - more people on 2 wheels versus 4 wheels leads to safer, more livable, and greener cities. Connect & expand bike and pathways & encourage eBike/eUse, not ban it. Transportation is evolving.

@ToddGloria You shouldn’t use the law, like your law exempting scooters from helmets, to prop up bad business models. The only failure was to let them run wild for so long. #scooters #SanDiego

San Diegans deserve more transportation choices and our legally enforceable Climate Action Plan demands it. From smart streetlights to STVRs, City Hall’s inept approach to new technology must change. bit.ly/39SHqTD

@RyanHoliday There’s a reason you’re the only consultant I’ve ever paid for advice... and it was to market a book. Money well spent! Well done Ryan, but not surprised.

@blockgreg Market decides works for bike rental shops, but perhaps this omnipresent dockless scooter thing is more akin to a more convenient city bus or train/trolley. Imagine letting 6-7 trains duke it out on our tracks or 6-7 color buses clogging streets and same bus stops. Chaos like now

@StephanAarstol I don’t agree with the one contract idea. That’s what we did with docked bikes and it was a disaster. Let the market dictate who will survive. In a year my guess is there will be 2-3 left. I’m w/you on other parts. Speed, clutter will continue to be a major concern in beach areas

Why hasn’t anyone reporting on this story asked Uber/Jump specifically what regs they are having such a difficult time with? What regs are so onerous that they can’t comply? They aren’t being forced out. This is their decision to leave. Why? kpbs.org/news/2019/sep/…

@blockgreg Good you use them & we agree there are problems (to much clutter and rule violations). City should award one contract & ban all others, take 30-50% of revenue, dictate & enforce reasonable rules. Increase speed limit to 10-12mph. Allow parking anywhere & employ repositioning guys

@StephanAarstol A rider can park wherever they want. So it’s not remotely the same. Only operator staging is regulated. Speed limits are in about 1% of the city. Also not terrible. I ride scooters almost every day. Commute from PL to downtown on them often.

@blockgreg I can only speak for PB, and use died overnight here. And you can’t park anywhere. I frequently have to walk a 1/4th mike to find a place where they will let me “end ride” or they randomly charge and extra $5 on a $2 ride.

@StephanAarstol Hi Stephan, I'm a producer at "Answer the Call" podcast, which premieres in April. We're a self-developmental podcast and are looking for a time management expert for our latest show. We would interview you for about 20-30 minutes. Would you be interested?

@blockgreg If you have the ear of city decision makers on this, I have some ideas how to make this a win for the city & the citizens.

@chf_sick_boy @mcuban I think you are going to see the infrastructure of cities everywhere adapt to accommodate eBikes. This is a big trend in transportation! Lots of business opportunities to help cities do just that.

@mcuban You know what would really help juice ebike sales? Better bike infrastructure. Something like the curb separated lanes in Victory Park outside the AAC, but throughout the city.
