@jaredwright17 He’d probably have been a Springbok 2 years ago if that first knee injury didn’t come at the exact wrong time. If I’m not mistaken, himself and Hooker were head to head in that year, and many had Hencu ahead of Hooker in the pecking order

Injury creates opportunity and Henco van Wyk looks to be positioning himself to get the latter from the Springboks coaches.

@FrontRowGrunt In fairness, only Asenathi Ntlabakanye, Morne vd Berg, Chris Smith (sometimes) and Quan Horn have actually passed for the Lions today. Mills in particular has blown at least 3 potential overlaps by crashing up instead of feeding Van Wyk

Can Bathobele Hlekani pass? Don't think we saw one from him today ... Hope Lions start using him as more than just a battering ram ... Bulls continuity, passing and off loading world class today, but Lions D didn't get on the team bus ...

@greenbokke Look, I’m not saying they don’t need to grow the game in the States, but the current climate and relations between the USA and SA are far from great, and a fixture this big is wasted on a crowd that will likely not be as South African or Kiwi as it should be.

So no South African fans will be able to afford to travel, and they’ll find it very difficult to be allowed into the country as well… Would’ve preferred Croke Park if it wasn’t in SA or NZ…

@greenbokke But Baltimore? The USA is a big country, can’t imagine Baltimore has the biggest South African diaspora in the country, and can’t imagine its close enough to the big Saffa centres in the country to draw a massive ‘home’ crowd. You’d get more Saffas in Twickenham or Dublin

It's possible that Alex Mann did something to set Eben Etzebeth off. But there is no excuse for a player of his experience to react in that manner. He deserves a big ban.

Can only assume that there is an actual team of weakened springboks Competing in an animal rugby comp in Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park - possibly playing against a fully loaded squad of bat-eared foxes Because that's certainly not the case for the ones playing in Cardiff

Rugby is a game for all shapes and sizes. Depower the scrum anymore and you may as well watch a rugby league match. It will destroy the community game if there is no place for your good old fashioned type of prop. Keep meddling with the game and you will destroy it.
