Saw a recipe the other day for Tomato Soup Cake, yes you see that right. Don’t worry I said the same thing, Ew. Then I watched a lady enter a baking contest and WIN! So now I have to try it! Not doing it lie putting the ingredients together was fine until I added tomato soup and tomato paste, it’s in the oven now, once it cools, we can frost it and see how it tastes! 📌 #BREAKING Karen Read civil wrongful death lawsuit (O’Keefe family vs. Read): On 3/27/2026, the Court issued an Endorsement on Motion for Order requiring plaintiffs' counsel to destroy inadvertently produced communication (#73.0) and it was ALLOWED. The issue? Karen Read was BCC’d on an email from her own attorneys, accidentally hit “reply all,” and sent a message that ended up with opposing counsel. Her team immediately demanded it be deleted/destroyed, arguing it was protected by attorney-client privilege. Plaintiffs’ counsel refused. The judge cited the Charm case, noting that a client who wants to preserve attorney-client privilege has a responsibility to be careful especially when using communication methods that carry “known and obvious risks” (hello, reply-all disasters). That said, the Court ruled that the importance of protecting attorney-client privilege in our legal system outweighs the defendant’s failure here. The Court acknowledged plaintiffs’ concern that the email could potentially be used for impeachment if Read’s testimony ever conflicts with it but called those worries “unfounded” for now. Importantly, the email remains under seal with the Court. If the issue ever becomes relevant in the future, the protection is preserved. This is a clear win for privilege protection, even after an inadvertent disclosure.
