NASCAR says if no more rain, they estimate track being dry around 11:45p ET .... Not sure if NASCAR would run the full distance or try to set an "adverse conditions" time.

UPDATE: Track-drying efforts are underway at @EchoParkSpdwy. NASCAR estimates drying should be complete by 11:45 p.m. ET with no more rain. Drivers will report to their cars prior to that time. Stay tuned to @TNTSportsUS for more.

It was quite hot here earlier today -- and also lightning hold on activities from around 1-3p ET. So hope a night race attracts more fans willing for cooler conditions than those who stay home because of late start. Plus more people watch TV Sun night vs Sat night.

@bobpockrass I truly do not understand why we start this race at 7pm ET on a Sunday night, like most of the fan base dont have to work tomorrow morning anyway. Start this race at 1 or 2. If we are night racing, should it not be on a Saturday night. So confused...

At 12 pm it looked like it was going to thunderstorm anyways. Moving a race up an hour or two is fine sure, but 7 is just asking to create a really big mess
