THE STRATEGIC GENIUS, DONALD TRUMP, COULDN'T GET IRAN TO STOP BLOCKADING THE STRAIT, SO HE DECIDED TO ALSO BLOCKADE THE STRAIT. THE DOUBLE-BLOCKADE! THAT'LL SHOW 'EM. IF YOU CAN'T BEAT THEM, JOIN THEM.

@ruthbenghiat Let’s spend the next years exiling this guy. Article 25 hearings would keep away from interference with US and the world.

@RichardAngwin @mariashriver His letters look cheap and amateurish compared to the JFK letters now forced to take second place to the illegal 47 installed yesterday above the original building’s name.

@mariashriver Slapping Trump's gaudy name above JFK's on a congressional memorial isn't honor, it's narcissistic vandalism that screams insecurity, not greatness.

Adding your name to a memorial already named in honor of a great man doesn’t make you a great man. Quite the contrary. Putting your name on top of someone else’s doesn’t mean that people will speak of you in the same breath as the other man. Putting your name above another man’s name on his existing memorial… What is that about? Truly? What’s that about? Do you want people to speak the names as one? Dig down deep. What are you trying to say? I’m really interested. There is no other president who would do this. None. Zero. In fact, it’s not even legal. Congress named the performing arts center as a living memorial in 1964, and only congress can change that law. This will always be the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Art. A great man would have said to his hand picked board, “Thank you, but the building already has its name. Let it stand. Let it be. I don’t need that.” But then again…

Mehdi - could we take advantage of change in government to make a mass migration off trump’s sites and onto a new site ? Seems like BlueSky would be an untarnished site for a fresh start for a place without Zuck or Trump. Steve

Interestingly, I have lost 60,000 followers on Twitter since Election Day - presumably, mostly, from people deactivating their accounts and heading to the other place - but over on the other place I have picked up 400,000 followers since Election Day.

@BSamuels72 Both of my children make considerably higher salaries than I ever reached. My wife & I were able to use City program to fund our buy/gut-rehab a City-owned house after Citizen pressure changed I-95 path & federal $ gave City funds to assist pioneering residents. Fed $ needed now.

"As Gen Z and millennial households near their homebuying years, they are still waiting for policies and investments like the ones that housed and uplifted many of their parents and grandparents."
Housing Matters@Housing360

Over 1/3 of young people looking to buy homes plan to tap into family or friends for down payment support. But not everyone has access to that generational wealth, widening the gap between the rich & poor among younger generations. urbn.is/3YbD45f

Just got a text from a senior Harris-Walz campaign aide that they are already cutting that final exchange on January 6th and Vance refusing to say who won the election into an ad…

Great for Baltimore blocks with multiple nearby vacant lots. Drop-ins were very difficult because widths of lots were seldom identical, and had often been too narrow o too wide (needed funky unpredictable patches to seal them. Aerial photos now available for site selection.
BarbaraSamuels@BSamuels72

Modular construction an old idea but never panned out at scale, e.g HUD's Operation Breakthrough in 1970' & Baltimore's Drop-in rowhouses in late 1980's. But has potential for affordable homeownership in cities w/ many vacant infill blocks. Even better if built in local factory.
