@chrislynchmedia @NzFubar On another note I have to say how nice Christchurch looks at the moment. The council and all involved have done a marvellous job with the rebuild and as a resident it is a privilege to show it off to visitors

The Christchurch stadium was sold as a magnet for world class acts, so why are taxpayers bankrolling Robbie Williams to show up? While firefighters are stretched and the Woolston station cannot be properly staffed, millions appear to be flowing toward a concert that should have stood on its own. Williams has toured New Zealand time and again without a cent of public money, so why are we paying now, and how much more will follow?

Everyone over 30 blames weight gain, brain fog, & fatigue on "getting older." Turns out it's not your metabolism or your age... It's your lymphatic system that's completely backed up after years of neglect. Here's how to flush it clean and feel 20 again:

It’s now a familiar pattern: a violent attack, innocent people are killed, and X is set alight with unfounded - and often incorrect - accusations about the assailant's identity. My analysis on social media’s role fanning the flames of Southport riots. bbc.com/news/articles/…

JUST IN: Jewish girl at UCLA sent to the ER after being beaten unconscious by pro-Palestine protesters. The incident reportedly happened at Dickerson Plaza. According to ‘ThatKoreanJew’ on IG who is a medical student at UCLA, the girl was surrounded by 5 people. She suffered a concussion and was unable to recognize her family when she initially woke up. Thankfully she is in stable condition now. Source: ThatKoreanJew on IG.

Ok kiddos...It's time for Environmental Class!! YAY !!!! This is a Tesla model Y battery. It takes up all of the space under the passenger compartment of the car. To manufacture it you need: --12 tons of rock for Lithium (can also be extracted from sea water) -- 5 tons of cobalt minerals (Most cobalt is made as a byproduct of processing copper and nickel ores. It is the most difficult and expensive material to obtain for a battery.) -- 3 tons nickel ore -- 12 tons of copper ore You must move 250 tons of soil to obtain: -- 26.5 pounds of Lithium -- 30 pounds of nickel -- 48.5 pounds of manganese -- 15 pounds of cobalt To manufacture the battery also requires: -- 441 pounds of aluminum, steel and/or plastic -- 112 pounds of graphite The Caterpillar 994A is used to move the earth to obtain the minerals needed for this battery. The Caterpillar consumes 264 gallons of diesel in 12 hours. The bulk of necessary minerals for manufacturing the batteries come from China or Africa. Much of the labor in Africa is done by children. When you buy an electric car, China profits most. The 2021 Tesla Model Y OEM battery (the cheapest Tesla battery) is currently for sale on the Internet for $4,999 not including shipping or installation. The battery weighs 1,000 pounds (you can imagine the shipping cost). The cost of Tesla batteries are: Model 3 -- $14,000+ (Car MSRP $38,990) Model Y -- $5,000–$5,500 (Car MSRP $47,740) Model S -- $13,000–$20,000 (Car MSRP $74,990) Model X -- $13,000+ (Car MSRP $79,990) It takes 7 years for an electric car to reach net-zero CO2. The life expectancy of the battery is 10 years (average). Only in the last 3 years do you start to reduce your carbon footprint, but then the batteries must be replaced and you lose all gains made. And finally, consider the amount of energy required to process the raw materials and the amount of energy used to haul these batteries to the U.S. sometimes back and forth a couple of times. This is America! I fully support your right to buy whatever car you want to. If you want an electric car, get one. Just don't sell me on how awesome you are for the environment. Or for human rights. Class dismissed !

Electric cars pollute 1,850 times more than fuel-based vehicles, study finds The 2022 U.K.-based Emissions Analytics study found that after driving both a gas and electric car 1,000 miles, the number of particles collected from the EV was vastly greater than the gasoline-powered car. "The 2022 study from the U.K.-based Emissions Analytics group found that during a 1,000 mile journey, EVs release 1,850 times more pollutants into the surrounding environment than gas-powered vehicles, due to the heavier weight which eats through tires. While many think of emissions from exhaust, tire wear plays a significant role in emitting pollutants. The synthetic rubber used to create tires include certain chemicals that get released into the air, and because EVs are significantly heavier than conventional cars due to massive lithium batteries. Overall, EVs weigh about 30 percent more than gas-powered vehicles, and cost thousands more to make and buy. These issues are in addition to the fact that they are not suitable in colder climates (such as Canada and the northern U.S.), offer poor range and long charging times (especially in cold weather), and have batteries that take tremendous resources to make and are hard to recycle. UPDATE: The world biggest “antisemite” is in Israel today meeting with the Israeli Prime Minister and meeting with the Israeli hostages that were returned… Because, you know, those are things that antisemites are commonly invited to do. Elon Musk and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu toured a southern town that was the site of some of the worst violence during the Oct. 7 Hamas attack. Actions do speak louder than words. You can pretend that words and posts mean everything but they don’t.

A large crowd in Times Square, NYC celebrates the surrender of Nazi Germany, May 7th, 1945. Two days later, halfway around the world, at around 1 a.m., there were crackles heard on the radio. Reports were flooding in saying that Nazi Germany had officially surrendered to the Soviet Union. The entire country erupted and took to the streets. By the time Joseph Stalin addressed the nation 22 hours later, the entire country had run out of vodka. A few months later, on August 14th, another large crowd would gather in Times Square. This time to celebrate the surrender of Japan, effectively ending World War 2. It was here that photographer Alfred Eisenstaedt would take his iconic photo of the sailor embracing and kissing a dental assistant. Before Japan had surrendered, the U.S. military had ordered over 1.5 million Purple Hearts medals in anticipation of an extremely difficult land invasion, which was called Operation Downfall. That stock of Purple Hearts along with newly-minted medals are still being used today.
