I and many other Brits are cheering Trump on.
The BBC is the epitome of what has gone wrong with Britain.

🇬🇧🇺🇸 FORMER UK PM, LIZ TRUSS: TRUMP MUST BE THE END OF THE BBC "Lots of people in Britain are cheering Trump on. They've lied, they've cheated, they've fiddled with footage. They've also covered up what's happening in Britain, whether it be mass migration or economic problems. They are always biased towards the left, and the British taxpayer has had to pay for all of this fake news. I believe the organisation needs to be defunded. It needs to be put out of its misery." @CitImmCanada I need to check if I already have an ETA but the site would appear to be down. Just checking that is correct?

What a lovely gesture. I wonder how many Scottish councils do the same for St Georges Day, or any other national day for that matter? 🧐🧐🧐

@North_Ayrshire Oh the irony. No commercial blue bins emptied in Millport yesterday. Perhaps someone can update me here and I can let the businesses know what is happening??

Today marks the start of Zero Waste Scotland's Recycle Week 2024.
The theme for this year - 'don't let it go to waste' - encourages everyone to not let their recycling efforts go to waste by ensuring they use the right bins for the right stuff.
Over the next week we will be sharing tips on how to recycle right so your efforts don't go to waste.
Council Waste Awareness Officers will be at the following locations offering advice and information to members of the public during Recycle Week:
-Tuesday 15 October, 10am to 3pm - Fullarton Church Café, Church Street Irvine
-Thursday 17 October, 11am to 1pm – Cunninghame Furniture Recycling Company, Third Avenue, Irvine

@benarty Would the same logic have applied to the independence vote proposed for during the October school holidays?
English

@ITVNewsPolitics @alexgallagher2 @PeterAdamSmith @JohnSwinney Please explain? They got circa 30% of the vote.

'How can people express their view that they do not want Scotland to be an independent country?' @PeterAdamSmith asks the SNP's @JohnSwinney
Swinney insists the 'wishes of the people of Scotland are clear' on independence after the SNP won in the 2021 Scottish elections

@ofgem why are @eonenergyuk allowed not to supply certain sectors of uk business, such as hairdressers, hospitality, etc? I can understand not accepting a business due to a bad credit check but to just blatantly discriminate businesses is totally unacceptable.

@ziggy6769 But that won’t affect mortgage repayments unless you are on a variable rate, which is the minority.
English

Shop prices fell to lowest rate in nearly two years. Food prices have been dropping month on month. Unemployment rate is at 4.4%. Mortgage rates are on their way down. Wages grew by approximately 6% this year. Yet I’m constantly told we are still in a cost of living crisis. Scottish nationalists and the left are using this as a political weapon to keep attacking the government.
