David Moyes: “Absolutely. Arne Slot has done a brilliant job and, I have got to say, he is really good coach. That is from a neutral point of view.” “But I’m not having him saying they are getting bad decisions at Anfield because if you ask any Premier League manager over football history, they will tell you that if there is one club that gets all the decisions it is Liverpool Football Club. If they are getting a few bad ones at the moment, well, we have had to put up with them for years. “There are very few decisions that go against Liverpool at Anfield. Very few. I actually think Liverpool supporters would agree with that if they were being honest as well. But as a coach, I think he’s a top coach.”

@SonOfaGun1776 @MericaCulture You literally refused to accept credit and would only deal in hard currency, this is a fact. As for stupidity you think you were attacked off Germany? Of course not, Germany declared war on you 4 days after the Japanese attack. You tried to appease them

@SonOfaGun1776 @MericaCulture This is nonsense, you were paid in hard currency at the time and the loans we took out after the war were also paid off in full. You only joined after the tide of the war had already turned. Britain was racing across North Africa and the USSR had defeated them at Stalingrad.

That Son of a Gun (サン・オブ・ア・ガン)
@StephenE295 @MericaCulture Because we didn't exactly ramp down production emediately following the war. Britain only paid off a fraction of the 31 billion in equipment and materials we supplied to them. Succeeding at defending your homeland is only one side of the issue. Destroying the treat is the other.

@ShuuReqium74 @SonOfaGun1776 @MericaCulture You didn't help!! You were paid for goods and paid above and beyond what the value of the goods was worth. You literally insisted on being paid in hard currency, hence my comment about Fort Knox. You only joined the war in Europe after Germany declared war on you.

@StephenE295 @SonOfaGun1776 @MericaCulture Churchill literally went to the US and begged us to join the war. Df are you talking about. Also even after the war the US helped Britain rebuild

@SonOfaGun1776 @MericaCulture You went from being a regional power to a global superpower over the course of the war. Go take a look in Fort Knox and see how much of that gold came from Britain. Oh and Britain was neither reliant on the USA or USSR, we won the Battle of Britain and still had the Royal Navy

Liverpool CEO Billy Hogan has written to all season ticket holders and members ahead of planned protests at Anfield tomorrow over ticket price increases. "Liverpool Football Club fully respects the right of supporters to protest and we acknowledge those supporters who are opposed to this approach. But we would also ask one thing in the days and weeks ahead: that any protest, and any debate, is grounded in the facts - what is changing, why it is changing, and what it means in real terms."

@StephenE295 @Skint_Eastwood1 Collapse of British industries, more pits closed under Labour during the 70’s than during 80’s, blackouts, random strikes, bin strikes, IMF bailout, rampant inflation - people complain today as its 3 or 4%, back then it was 20%. You‘ve no idea.

🚨Jeremy Clarkson RIPS Into Jeremy Corbyn And His Socialism Dream “I lived through the 70s, I know what socialism is, and I’ve seen it at work around the world, in places like Cambodia and Venezuela, It doesn’t work, and it’s dangerously doesn’t work.” “It’s a hopeless, hopeless proposition.”

@JeffriesOliver @TheDilemmaLama @Skint_Eastwood1 It is a fact! Thatcher was forced out of government after 10 years of economic nothingness in which we went backwards as often as we went forward. There was literally mass civil unrest, it was that bad. You cunts act like she was something special.... Fuck off with that shite

@StephenE295 @TheDilemmaLama @Skint_Eastwood1 But that’s quite clearly not the truth is it that’s the point? And it won’t matter how many times you say it. The brain drain is a famous point in this countries history, he fact you don’t know what I’m getting at says it all

@JeffriesOliver @TheDilemmaLama @Skint_Eastwood1 You're joking right? The simple economic reality is that regardless of social standing you were much better off in 1980 then you had been in 1970...so again what are you talking about?

@StephenE295 @TheDilemmaLama @Skint_Eastwood1 Nope just facts. Funny you mention that as well, my father was an engineer who emigrated to Australia for 10 years to escape the strikes and power cuts. It’s remembered as ‘the brain drain’ today

@JeffriesOliver @TheDilemmaLama @Skint_Eastwood1 Wages stayed ahead of inflation throughout the 70s which were a great decade in which many working class people finally climbed the social ladder to become homeowners. And 74 to 79 means the 70 to 74 and 79 to 80 the Tories were in power. Longer than labour

@StephenE295 @TheDilemmaLama @Skint_Eastwood1 Labour were in power from 74-79 so that’s a lie to start with. Standards of living did not improve inflation hit 25%, if you think that improves standards of living you don’t understand inflation.

@JeffriesOliver @TheDilemmaLama @Skint_Eastwood1 Of the 10 years of the 70s the tories were in power for longer that Labour. Also the 'Barber bomb' (and subsequent bust) is just reality. Again the standard of living increased substantially throughout the 70s so what exactly is your point?
