The hospital was first launched by DP William Ruto but its progress was hampered after the fallout with Uhuru Kenyatta. Uhuru Kenyatta had a tendency of frustrating his Deputy by starving resource on project launched by his Deputy. But when Ruto took over as the president, the the construction of hospital is nearing completion.
