@IrishRail A medical emergency would be a far more appropriate way of describing what happened. There was no one with any intention of trespassing, and what happened was a genuine welfare concern. The event needs a full review. I’m happy to help, as it’s important you have the full picture.

@StephenNolan_ The initial group who opened the doors on the first DART did so after a 5min delay. This caused a far more significant delay to other trains, resulting in concern and distress for many passengers, prompting others to go on the line. We will be reviewing this incident. -AD

Update: DART services are operating to Dalkey/Malahide/Howth with delays of up to +40mins. The line has been closed from Dalkey/Bray due to trespassers on the line. -AD
