@davidzelcer @camspinney I’d suspect it has more to do with higher interest rates than capital gains changes. Many were bought when money was cheap (~1-2%), and now you’re seeing the effects of sustained high rates. In the hierarchy of financial triage, cabin gets the axe before house.

@PaulLaneMHA Don’t get me wrong: Lots of issues come with the short term peak and valley. Pressures on community infrastructure, housing, etc. However, the long term operational skilled positions in the various communities is very much a positive.

@PaulLaneMHA Based on plans laid out by each of the various hydrogen companies, it seems there will be 300-400 permanent operational jobs at each project. Most of which will be skilled/technical roles. Operational jobs post-completion at MF site is/was < 40. Two different kettles of fish.
