Then came the biometrics request. Unfortunately, my schedule within those 30 days was packed. I had two international business trips to China, factory visits, meetings, and production commitments. I simply couldn’t fit it in. Then boom — the refusal letter arrived. Honestly, I laughed. Sometimes the visa process feels like a very sophisticated system for collecting application fees and then generating creative reasons for rejection. Dear Visa Officer, My passport probably has more entry and exit stamps than many applications that cross your desk in a month. The application itself listed visits to multiple first-world countries without a single overstay issue. Secondly, I am not a backpacker looking for greener pastures. I am an entrepreneur running manufacturing operations, retail businesses, and projects that support over 200 livelihoods. My daily responsibility is ensuring factories run, salaries are paid, and customers are served. The notion that I would abandon all that to disappear into Canada and start hiding somewhere in a basement is an illusion that exists only in the imagination of the visa officer. The irony is that many of us travel because business demands it, not because we are looking for an escape route. Anyway, life goes on. The factories are still running. The workers still need their salaries. The customers still need their products. Canada some of us are what your country need as investors not pay check chase !
