@ItsBigZuu You had a link via your dad, that's alright. My issue (& that of Danny) was that when I was at Primary School in E London in the early 80s, the class was 50% Liverpool supporters, much the same as Man Utd fans the decade after...I have to suffer my team and so should others 😂

My Dad was born and raised in Sierra Leone & started supporting Liverpool in the 70s after watching a FA Cup game against West Ham. My Mum told me when I was young that was his team & that’s it I was a red. I get why he’s making this point, just saying it doesnt apply to everyone

What about if you’re a refugee and you didn’t grow up with your dad? This idea that you should support ya local doesn’t work if you come from an unstable home, move around a lot, and your family can’t afford to take you to a football game. The game is bigger than this sorry Dan

Too many are too polite to say this. But mass ritual prayer in public places is an act of domination. The adhan - which declares there is no god but allah and Muhammad is his messenger - is, when called in a public place, a declaration of domination. Perform these rituals in mosques if you wish. But they are not welcome in our public places and shared institutions. And given their explicit repudiation of Christianity they certainly do not belong in our churches and cathedrals. I am not suggesting everybody at Trafalgar Square last night is an Islamist. But the domination of public places is straight from the Islamist playbook. Trafalgar Square belongs to all of us. It is a national memorial to our independence and our salvation. Last night was not like a televised football match or a St Patrick’s Day celebration. It was an act of domination and therefore division. It shouldn’t happen again.

Don't get me wrong great players with high celiling but no bowen Starts for me everytime.
