Sad news indeed. Played a bit for @AmpthillTownCC towards the end of his long playing career. A legend of local cricket. May he rest in peace. Sympathy to @SteppingleyCC, his family & friends.

For those who never met him he was a kind, welcoming, friendly and leggie with an unreadable and evil top spinner that got many wickets. We will do something to remember him at the club next summer but tonight please pay your respects to Des for his years of service to the club.

Sad news today I'm afraid, the passing of Dezzie Izzard, a stalwart of the club who played many times before he hung up his boots well into his 60's.

Safe to say that the weather has won this weekend!

Congratulations to @SteppingleyCC who won the David Freeman Trophy today by 1 wicket. A very enjoyable game played in good spirits with out visitors chasing down 147 with 7 balls to spare.

Unfortunately we have had to postpone the start of our Division Three season @BedfordSchool due to the exceptional storms on Thursday. All should be good to start Div Four next Sunday. All systems go for Div One @bunyanfit tomorrow.. 🏏 #retire..
