@mrcarl_woodward 💯 - especially from our subsidised National Theatre supposedly serving the nation!! A deeply disappointing and now an exploitative national service.

Theatre-goers aren’t stupid. Hidden “service charges” and last-minute transaction fees are a kick in the teeth especially when tickets are now probibitively expensive; build it into the ticket price.
 Why should we pay these fees at all?

@mrcarl_woodward @NationalTheatre WHAT? Absolutely beyond shame £4 - higher than ATG ! Now the sharks will circle. I am appalled.

From 1 April 2026, a £4 transaction fee will be added to every @NationalTheatre ticket bought online — pushing up the cost for all bookings. Higher prices all round for the majority. A real shame.

WHY⁉️ 😡 By a vote of 25–72, the U.S. Senate has allowed the killing of 450,000 Barred Owls to move forward. These birds ~ long protected under the Migratory Bird Treaty Act ~ will be shot across national parks and forests under a plan falsely framed as “conservation.” The plan, pushed by the timber industry and the Interior Department, turns the Endangered Species Act on its head ~ killing one native species to “save” another, while greenlighting massive logging of old-growth forests. @AWAction_News are pursuing a legal action in a U.S. District Court in Portland, Ore., and are seeking to scrap the Barred Owl Management Strategy as a violation of federal law.
