In the movie "Coherence," there are cathartic scenes in which Nick's character talks about how awful he is when he's drunk. He felt remorse. He was trying to get help. He was in recovery in the end. People are allowed to work on themselves and try to grow and change. We need that to happen. Not to undo what happened to victims because that's not possible. But, to prevent new ones, some of us have to be there for people with patience and support. Some of us have to forgive.
