AI doesn't make anything from scratch. It's not conscious. It mashes existing artwork together.
Unfortunately, it has been trained on stolen work, which is why it so frequently looks identical or nearly identical to the work of living artists.
Billionaires certainly don't deserve subscription fees for selling stolen merchandise.
Studio Ghibli won their settlement and cease and desist case against AGI, and there are more cases pending, so no. Everyone cannot do whatever they want with AI.
Forgery is when someone copies someone else's art.

@Tamaramonkey @Slomn5z5b @PopBase This would work but A.I. isn't banned. You can use A.I an anyway you want. That doesn't mean you don't face consequences if deemed unsavory. Plus, who is it forging. A.I. makes everything from scratch based off of references. By that logic, everything is forgery😂😂😂

Car owners are just mad that their cars aren't as good as the customs being built from the parts the chop shop sold from their stolen cars.
Or they're mad that they can no longer drive their car, and I can drive their car in three minutes.

Yes it does. Art is personal property.
If a car thief steals your car to sell it for parts and you can't go to work and make money, but they can make money off of your property, it does have to be you or them in terms of who gets to keep money that resulted from possession of your property.

Yeah. It's not okay to not get parental consent. Having said that, if a child is born without vital organs, or with them outside of their body, or with tumors torturing them, or some other horrible malady that is inoperable or untreatable causing them to suffer and that they will surely die from, I think parents should be allowed the option to end life support and to ask doctors to give numbing, sleeping, and end of life medication if there is no hope and keeping the child alive artificially is only prolonging torture.

We're giving 400 diapers to new California families when they leave the hospital. And we're rolling out the program to those who need them the most first.
As if the stresses of having a child weren't enough -- the cost of diapers has gone up 45% since the pandemic. Families skip meals to pay for diapers.
We have rebuilt how government can support families and kids through increased paid leave, universal pre-k, child care, free school meals, student savings accounts and, now, by providing families with an essential first need.

Yeah. I mean, some of the problem is governmental and regulatory.
Without any regulations, artists are vulnerable to crooks stealing from our community.
If we had progressive decent reps that were more for artists (and that goes for any country), then presumably we could get some regulations that take the tech and make it ethical.
Like requiring consent and compensation for use of our work as stock assets.
The sucky thing is, both parties in the US have a really horrible track record when it comes to reparations or paying for damages to livelihoods.
That's why Trump's second term is all about him and his buddies trying to get away with stealing as many dollars and cents as they can before they are booted out of power until the next time they're able to snow people into thinking there is anything okay about them ripping everyone off.
