Giant tumefactive perivascular spaces are rare, nonneoplastic cystic foci (>15 mm) that are typically detected incidentally, but can rarely become symptomatic, as in this case, due to mass effect causing obstructive hydrocephalus. By @pranj_rad doi.org/10.1016/j.jocn…

A 47-year-old woman presented to the dermatology clinic with a 1-year history of a crawling sensation on her chin that caused her to scratch the area. The right corneal reflex was decreased, and pinprick and temperature sensation around the mouth, lip, and chin on the right side was reduced. With occlusive dressings, the ulcer healed, but it later recurred after being left uncovered. What is the diagnosis? nej.md/IC02262026

@Stethless_Dr A decent stay is ₹4-5K/night for a room Food: if you’re really on a budget then 1K per day And then there’s transport and activities. Scooter rental is ₹600/per day

Planning a trip to Andaman? Keep these things in mind, bookmark it for later: 1. Stay bookings: Andaman is not a ‘I’ll figure it out on the go’ kinda place. It’s best to book stays in advance as the good ones will be sold out and last minute bookings can be expensive. 2. Same goes for ferries. You’ll need them to travel between different islands. Try to book 4-5 days before your travel date. 3. Everything is a little expensive since it’s far from the mainland and transport cost is high. For example, a local told me that the cost of a single lemon can go upto ₹15/piece. So plan your budget accordingly 4. There are barely any hostels there but you’ll find some backpackers and solo travelers. If you’re diving, it would be easier to meet people. There was only one hostel in havelock and it had only 5 beds so pre book in advance. 5. Network: WiFi at cafes, stays is okay-ish. Airtel was good, Jio was okay but didn’t work at a few places. 6. Don’t expect public beaches to be like Goa or Thailand. The beaches are absolutely raw, there are no shacks there and you certainly will not be served beers 7. Beer is cheap since it’s a union territory. Liquor store in havelock stocks up once a week (Thursday) and all the good beers are sold out by Saturday. It’s Tuesday for Neil 8. Sun rises at 5:30 am and everyone sleeps by 10-ish at night. No nightlife scenes there. 9. Highly recommend diving there. You don’t need to know how to swim to do an introductory dive.

The Galgotias episode at the ongoing AI summit in Delhi is quite illustrative of the fakery that has come to represent the Narendra Modi regime and the right-wing ecosystem that creates narrative noise in its favour. It started with netas sharing images of Chinese cities as Gujarat cities; it has now come to appropriating Chinese tech as 'Make in India'. It didn't happen in a day; it has taken 12 years to reach this far. But some of us had been warning right from the beginning that something like this would happen one day. The regime placed its votaries in educational institutions and other places of authority, who then built a culture of unquestioning obedience to authority figures through armies of obsequious minions. Educational spaces that allowed critical thinking were criminalised as hubs of anti-national activity while others whose CEOs or VCs would replace their Twitter DPs with Mr. Modi's pic or post "Nation First" on their LinkedIn profiles were celebrated as the intellectual engines of 'New India'. Don't unload your bile on the poor woman professor or the university; instead, reflect on the poor political choices you yourself have made all these years or cheered in the name of teaching a lesson to "anti-Hindus" and "anti-nationals". This is on you.

@SridattaPawar I advised them to get 24 hour test. But later on got to know that PCR test was already done.clinical indication is post partum hypertension despite 6 months. So based on your messages I got protein assessment done to rule out nephropathy.

The Lp(a) problem nobody's talking about 90% genetic. Can't diet it away. Can't exercise it down. But here's what most people don't understand about WHY Lp(a) is atherogenic: Lp(a) isn't just "bad cholesterol." It's structurally similar to plasminogen - the molecule your body uses to break down blood clots. So Lp(a) does two things: 1. Penetrates arterial wall and causes inflammation (like LDL) 2. Interferes with clot breakdown (competitive inhibition with plasminogen) This dual mechanism - both promoting plaque formation AND promoting thrombosis - is why elevated Lp(a) is particularly dangerous. If you have family history of early heart disease (<55 in men, <65 in women), test it once. The level stays stable for life. Knowing matters because: - High Lp(a) changes how aggressively we treat your other risk factors - New therapies (RNA-based) specifically targeting Lp(a) are in Phase 3 trials - It explains why some people with "perfect" cholesterol still have events
