Here's what's crazy about this to me: Reddick has won four of six races and has by far the best average finish, but without the 15 extra points for a win that started this season, he'd only have a 35-point lead in the standings. Imagine how bad that would look for someone to have the kind of year he's having so far and only have a 35-point lead. Great timing for NASCAR to increase the amount for wins, because 95 is a lot more of an appropriate margin for that sort of dominance.

Jim… having a competitive advantage. And fixing races are two wildly different things. This professional sports when you gain an advantage you use it as long as you can. But he’s won 2 Superspeedways, a road course, and a mile and a half on a new package. Can you tell me what you could learn from one win that would help you with the other 3?

The lack of care I’m talking about revolves around lack of engagement with the creatives in the sport AND the lack of care to even review their own product for accuracy before it’s published. But why? Just to save a few bucks and time? But at what cost? For hastily done graphics no one cares to check but is riddled with inaccurate information? For graphics that misrepresent series partners and the actual product you yourself are promoting on track? For AI slop images that don’t even resemble your competitors? I think about this not only from the lens of a fan, but if I were a brand partner. If I was a partner to one of these teams and my branding was incorrect in an AI ad thrown together by a broadcaster, I would be furious. We’ve opened a door that cannot be closed. It’s disappointing, but in a world where everyone is looking to save a buck and time, I unfortunately get it. All this to say, the “cutting corners” that using AI for creative means allows for is not be an excuse for lack of care or accuracy. A shout into the void but just had to get this out there.

Seeing major motorsport series, their broadcasting partners, etc. using AI instead of hiring creatives is not just lazy, it shows a severe a lack of care. It’s a lack of care for your fans, competitors, and community each series cultivates. Incredibly disappointing.
