After 6 weeks of endurance training (fartlek, HIIT, running) vs. Neuromuscular training (strength training/plyometrics/speed), the NMT group saw greater benefits in performance and injury prevention. Preparing soccer athletes similar to cross country athletes puts them at risk.

Our new study shows superset training elicited similar muscular adaptations vs traditional sets in trained men/women, but took ~36% less time to complete. Important implications as lack of time considered a primary barrier to adherence. Preprint link: sportrxiv.org/index.php/serv…

The #Chiefs were initially concerned that TE Travis Kelce suffered a season-ending tibia plateau fracture during Tuesday's practice, per @JayGlazer. However, it turned out to be just a "very deep" bone bruise, and Kelce has been making progress every day. The plan is to have him run tomorrow, and as long as there is no swelling, he should be back for Week 2 against the #Jaguars.

Bears repeating: I have seen no compelling evidence that supplementing with protein, EAAs, HMB or leucine is beneficial to muscular adaptations provided that adequate daily protein is consumed

When you see someone doing a crazy hard exercise, know that person has undoubtedly done tons of basic workouts to build up to it. And they’ve probably only done the crazy exercise a few times: either for kicks, or clicks. Real results come from hard work over time on the basics
