@biigpapilocstaa @jimbo2556 @CEO4TAG Literally won our first trophy ever last season
Can't say all the negative is him and all the positive isn't him
It's somewhere in the middle.
If he left tomorrow he has left the club in better shape than when he arrived.
Remember this is supposed to be fun 😂

@GeorgeHilder5 George, I don't know why you always appear on my feed... But are you okay?
You need to chill ... this level of doom mongering/negativity isn't healthy. Especially over things you cannot control.
Take care 👍
English

@PaulApling19 @BobbyManzi This.
It was reported he wouldn't sign a new contract. (And he hasn't yet!)
If I was Parish I wouldn't spend so I could promise a new manager more funds to entice a better caliber candidate.
However as a fan I want our best ever manager backed 😂
English

@BobbyManzi Parish is highly unlikely to back Glasner in January, not whilst his contract talks are still up in the air.
English

Oliver Glasner would have realised by now that the Crystal Palace hierarchy sells a project of dreams, only for those supposed ambitions to remain a fantasy.
The best manager in the club’s history deserves better. Column on Glasner and the future. #CPFC

@TravelandCOYS @Totinhiiio @FabrizioRomano Captain that won the FA cup, community shield and now got a good crack at conference league
Any palace fan would take that over the fee for Guehi
It does make the future harder with replacing him however without money coming in... Was it worth it ? 100% in my mind.
English

@Totinhiiio @FabrizioRomano To a Crystal Palace fan, the money won’t matter compared to another year of their star man. I’d have been the same if we’d run Kane’s contract down - not like we’ve spent the money on anyone decent.

@Syph79 @TomDutty How many clubs our size are currently doing better?
How many are doing worse?
Steve P sure isn't perfect but the answer to above should indicate the job he is doing
Over past 10 years maybe Leicester only club more successful our revenue size... Look at them now? It's rough!
English

@TomDutty All fair. If the counter-point to where we are today is 'kicking on' - can you (or anyone else) clarify what it would take and what we would get for doing it? To me, it seems like a lot of risk, for very little guaranteed return.

@MattOfTheSouth I'm fooling myself that I've reached acceptance... Keep saying it's the model. Which I guess it is ...
£40m 1 year left...
We just haven't got much time to get bodies on 😬
English

@Wheddsta He hasn't failed us? what has Parish done this summer to help us progress?
English

@Loocstaa @Joel_CP_70 @BearCPFC @Luke_Seychell Glasner is, but palace are not an anomaly.
Not many clubs outside the biggies have spent money... Too much cash tied up in first XI (transfer and wages)
Depth lacking and same across the league, Fulham, forest etc
Conference a drain financially.
It's shit but no magic bullet
English

What annoys me is clubs have had all summer to try and sort this but try to do it just before season starts.
If clause has expired then don't let him go and he won't complain either.
Fabrizio Romano@FabrizioRomano
🚨 Understand Tottenham are also back in talks for Eberechi Eze in separate deal from Savinho. Spurs trying again for Eze while they work on Savinho, following Maddison injury and Son exit. Eze keen but deal depends on Palace as release clause expired.
English

Hey, @grok, who was the most famous person to visit my profile? It doesn't need to be a mutual, don't tag them, just say who it was
English

@nffcalways1 @Davy1865 @reluctantnicko Exactly, the rule doesn't even do what it's trying to do!
I loved winning FA cup, I've accepted it's conference league now and we move on!
I just hate the governance of the sport, PSR another joke to keep status quo.
I just think we are in danger of ruining a great thing here
English

@SteveCavey @Davy1865 @reluctantnicko I agree but this is the sport now unfortunately, just like Forest being docked points and nearly relegated because a transfer was completed on the wrong side of an accounting period, and that was despite us being in permanent contact with the governing body..
English

@Davy1865 @nffcalways1 @reluctantnicko I think the point is it's bollocks.
How do you want your sport won? On the pitch ?
Or via hitting deadlines on frankly nonsense technicalities that have no overall effect on the operating of MCOs (i.e many still play in the same comp)
It shows what's wrong with modern sport
English

@nffcalways1 @reluctantnicko I agree Mike about damage limitations through deflection and as I’ve said many a time on here the media needs to be held accountable too. Everyone can speculate about ‘the letter’ and its contents but no one knows, truth is did it even happen but CP fans won’t want him (SP) out
English

@chopperchapman2 @TomDutty This whole MCO thing are we or not is a red herring
The wider point is it's about finding a creative way of getting round a technicality by a deadline.
If that is how you want the sport to be decided then fine whatever you enjoy
I like watching what's on the pitch personally
English

@TomDutty Except UEFA of course say it was a MCO.
English

If you think Parish “not checking emails” is behind #cpfc expulsion & subsequent protests then you aren’t across the situation.
Genuine MCO models exist across football and have been cleared for Europe. Apply common sense & Palace aren’t part of MCO, yet have been booted out.
English

@nffcalways1 @sedlescombemike @RestIsFootball @EuropaLeague @ChampionsLeague The MCO thing is all bollocks anyway, RB were allowed, Ineos were allowed
It's about creative ways of getting round technicalities inside a deadline ffs
I mean how fucking shit is the sport governance that this is even a thing.
Ban MCO's or allow them and win on the pitch
English

@sedlescombemike @RestIsFootball @EuropaLeague @ChampionsLeague Or the defining moment is a club clearly in a MCO but trying for some reason to deny it even though under UEFA rules they clearly are, compared to a club that is part of a MCO that followed the correct procedures with a blind trust & communication with UEFA..
English

"If you win the @EuropaLeague, you get into the @ChampionsLeague ." 🏆
European football can be defining moments for clubs ‼️

15 years ago today, Crystal Palace FC were in a state of limbo.
At the end of the 2009/10 season, our players, having not been paid for 3 months, had overturned a 10 point deduction due to falling into administration, securing the draw we needed on the last day of the season away at Sheffield Wednesday to keep our heads above water in the Championship.
The club still faced an incredibly precarious future, with the stadium owned by Lloyds Bank who seemingly had little intention of selling it back. Due to fan protests, both outside Selhurst Park and at the headquarters of the bank itself in early June, they relented and gave Steve Parish and CPFC2010 the green light to purchase the stadium and keep the club alive.
That summer, the lifelong fans who fronted the aforementioned consortium were forced to navigate their way through club ownership as total novices; contending with a squad which had just 9 first-team players registered to it and a club infrastructure in desperate need of TLC. Fast-forward 3 years and the club had, despite the odds being stacked heavily against it, made it to the Premier League via a Play-Off Final victory over Watford. Prior to that promotion, Crystal Palace had never spent more than a single season in the Premier League; we’re now at the end of our 12th in a row with a 13th to come in August.
Today, we head into what is our 3rd ever FA Cup Final, we’ve lost the previous two in 1990 and 2016 and have never in our history won what is considered to be a “major” trophy.
I’ve been doing so much thinking about today’s game over the last week or so, the passage of support from my Granddad to my old man, down to me and now to my son; with that story of family ties a consistent theme throughout the entire Palace fan-base, we don’t support this club for glory, it’s about pride in South London and what that badge means to us.
We may win it, if we do, it’ll be a truly incredible feeling but whatever the outcome, I know that it won’t make the slightest bit of difference to how much I love our football club; it gives my life structure and meaning and looking back to those uncertain days in 2010, I know how close we came to losing it altogether.
One last push ladies and gentlemen, you never know. ❤️💙
